Tough times for skilled craftsmen when the consumer market began shifting towards cheap / mediocre glass products from the middle east and china.
Bought a borosilicate 6" bubbler, eastern made for $6 at the store, it's sad, nothing artistic about it.
Just mass produced crap.
I would buy good glass but uhh... I'm not in the USA or Europe so tough luck for me.
I wouldn't mind paying a few hundred $$$ for one of these masterpieces though,
Wednesday, the daughter and I are invited to a studio to blow and decorate some 'holiday ornaments.' I don't imagine it will be thick borosilicate glass, but I'm looking forward to it anyway
