Chop lower bud sites? First grow

I plan to do some trimming this weekend. I understand I should trim lower bud sites that wont make it to the canopy. I have at least 8 primary bud sites but on two plants there is a bunch in the middle of each that are lower than the mains but look like they will receive full light. Do I chop those too to focus energy on the bigger bud sites or let them be if they are getting good light? A few pics from this morning attached...day 53 from seed soak.

Thanks...hoping they stay that way long enough to finish flowering...guess another 6-8 weeks. I flipped to 12/12 almost 2 weeks ago...strain is fem Nirvana GSC.

When scrogging you remove all growth below the net.

I defoliated yesterday under the scrog and chopped 6-8 weaker bud sites from each plant below the canopy. I left most of the smaller bud sites at the canopy level.

I'd usually do mass defoliate because to control the humidity.
So far it looks okay, but i'm very curious on your setup.

How do you clear the runoff water?

I water slowly, 1 quart per plant at a time. I’m getting a little run off at 1/2 gallon per plant now; that amount dries out pretty quickly. I have used a turkey baster once to clean up excess runoff as the plants were transitioning from 1 to 2 gallons total water every 2 days.

How do you clear the runoff water?

You can get an inexpensive Wetvac at your local hardware store for about 40 bucks
Alot easier than using a turkey baster

I'm a bit further along with my first grow and while I'm happy with my grow in general, I am jealous of yours. For your first grow, you are absolutely killing it. Well done. Hope your grow finishes strong. From the looks of it you will have a great harvest.

Thanks for the encouragement. I learned a lot from this site way before I dropped my first seeds. Looking forward to fix things I did wrong next grow #2.

Day 69 from seed soak, end of week 10 (tomorrow), end of week 4 flower from first pistils. This will be day 9 with the 3100k CMH 315w bulb. A new view of the smaller bud sites I considered chopping but kept is from this morning...I did cull the smallest and lowest off all plants when I defoliated day 54. They are getting good light and developing...although could be sapping energy from the main 7-9 bud sites on each plant. Interesting to see the truer leaf color on the lower sites where there are a bit shaded...also shows off the trichomes which are building.

Went dark after exactly 7 weeks true flower...nice 2 GSC fem phenos for first grow...plants chopped today after 48 hours darkness. The little ones turned into fat low buds with LST providing intense CMH 315w light.

Day 104 (end of week 15 tomorrow). 9 days drying in the grow cabinet (minus the light). Trim and jar day. Glad I spared the inner buds that were getting good light...they all look like this.
