GSC LED Redux Cr8grow #8

This is not a sponsored grow. I’m running another grow with the @ViparSpectra XS1000 “twins” they kindly provided for my last grow, my first using LEDs. Work got into the way my last grow and I had no time to properly tend to the CMXL Auto grow. Yields were lower than the last time I grew out four CMXL Autos under my CMH315w light; 4.82 ounces LED vs 9.2 ounces from the prior grow. I also lost two main buds with some rushed LST. Bud quality is excellent both grows and terpenes may be even stronger from the LED buds; very fruity, cheese, hash and pine. I don’t feel like I gave the XS1000 twins a fair shake with a quick auto grow, so I’m running another LED test photo grow. Seeds will be @Weed Seeds Express photo fem Girl Scout Cookies they kindly provide for the recent 420 WSE GSC Comparative grow. That grow, my 6th, yielded 7 ounces flower, also excellent buds and smoke quality. I dropped 5 seeds in distilled water on February 8th, all had tails two days later and I planted all today in solo cups, February 12th. I plan to top all four once and will veg and LST until I have a nice even canopy. Thanks for stopping by…it will get more interesting in a couple weeks. I’m hoping to find more time to spend time catching up on grows here on 420. Cheers

Actually I noticed I need to vaccum as its also my dry and cure cabinet. I still need to install the new carbon filter and hepa intake filter. I have a few days. Cheers

Welcome Tokin Roll, I found a couple shots of my cabinet and see a scrog, so that was my first grow. I see a little soil lifting today, should see sprouts in a day or two. Cheers

Today is Day One with 3 of 5 WSE Girl Scout Cookies seedlings sprouting up over the past 2 days. I poked around and repositioned seed #4, but the tail had some brown and probably won’t make it. I could not find the seed in cup #5…I don’t know. Plan B, I dropped my last WSE GSC and 2 Green Crack seeds in distilled water today. I want to run my usual 4 plants in 5 gallon pots, organic soil and nutes. I’ve not previously grown out any of these Garden of Green fem photo Green Crack seeds, but the flowering looks to be about a week earlier…it should even out if I need to use either. I purchased the GC seeds based on stats and reviews, so hoping I need one to fill out the cabinet. Maintenance today, vacuum, fresh hepa intake filter, fresh carbon filter, permanent fire alarm install, with extinguishers nearby. Seedlings will receive a taste of Canna Bio Vega in a few days. Another reason I need to do this comparative LED twins grow…I realized Last auto grow also had lights set at 16:8 v 18:6…WTF. The jar in the pelican case back right is from my second grow, Cali Connection Corleone Kush…that was the full Purple pheno…I did find a few precious seeds…flashback shot.

Day 7, end of week 1. The back up GSC and two Green Crack seedlings are up and will be about a week behind. I will let them go for a bit and select the nicest seedling to end up with four plant. Could well be one Green Crack plant in the GSC LED redux grow. I lowered the lights to 20” and increased intensity to 60%. All received a taste of organic nutes yesterday in PH 6.4 well water plus Superthrive. Temps ranging 63 overnight to 77 during lights on. RH is ranging 35-51%; RH will increase a bit once I transplant into 5 gallon pots. Not much to see yet, but all are doing well thus far. Pics are from today. Cheers

SO…I’m very slowly smoking through the next to the last jar of Corleone Kush from my second grow, a super heavy indica that’s social upfront, then full body buzz…then sleepy time with a bit more. That one purple pheno is sadly the last jar left, but I found a few seeds for another grow. Cheers

Tokin Roll, I’m going with my usual 5 gallon pots and a new purchased soil this time with no amendments. The soil is a local product and I’m hoping for good results. I usually put an inch of large perlite ay the bottom for drainage. I will skip this time to allow the roots more space deep. Thanks for the feedback on my grow cabinet. Cheers

Day 14, end of week 2 from sprout, the little ones are a week behind. All healthy at this point, no sign of pests. I will probably go with the one Green Crack as the fourth to check out those genetics. You can see the Kush genetics in the GSC plants. I will transplant the 3 into 5 gallon pots this weekend, which will raise the humidity a bit. Still smooth sailing so far. Topping and training next after transplant and recovery.
