Another option for a DIY grow tent is to use 1" dia pvc. Use the pvc to create your frame and cover it with your reflective blankets. Use the painters lamps with the clamps for your lighting. They can be had at menards, lowes, home depot or wally world for cheap. Walmart had the best price on them when I began, and they had like 10 foot cords, which is handy. Also you can get a thermometer for about $12.00 which displays temp and humidity. Another $12.00 would get you a small fan for air circulation. Just keep the temps low and the grow room clean. When I started, I had been "gifted" 2 AK47 autoflowers, already potted in (cough) Miracle Grow soil. I was using 9 cfl's for vegging and flowering. I did everything wrong, and still managed to get 4 ozs per plant. Just goes to show the tenacity of the plant and it's desire to grow. Keep em green brother.

I got a fan in there blowing on the plant, it makes the leaves sway but not too much it's on setting 2 of 3. Thanks for the help GMT and Oldrthandirt. I literally have 0$ so I'm gonna' have to make some cash, which is why I was hoping to get atleast 50 grams, but like oldrthandirt said don't worry about yield it will produces what it produces, not saying I'm selling, cause I think that's against the rules, so I'm not doing that. So that plant food is okay? Also, sometimes when I smoke strong sativa-like bud ex:Super Lemon Kush, it kind of gives me a shroom-like flashback and I don't like that too much. Only done them once but I did a whole eighth and it was from an Indian guy, they were good lol, plus my buddy was an idiot and said weed would calm me down if I was trippin too hard so I kept hitting the bong over and over, and I was just so GONE. Now when I smoke bud I sometimes see little swirls etc. especially when it's dark. Very scary to think you lost your mind lol, but that's another story, anyways my point is that I don't want that with this, I love opiates and I know I need to just smoke more weed cause it won't slowly kill me, nor does it give me withdrawals lol. So I heard to wait until trichomes are amber for harvest as opposed to milky white, for a narcotic-like high. I heard herijuana strain was real good. Haven't had it though. Is there a bud colouring product that's okay to smoke? One more question, a friend of mine used honey in his plant during flowering for good tasting buds, any truth to this, and if so how much and how often? Thanks!

I am thinking about LST'ing the main cola, will this help my yield and promote side growth? My grandma also thinks I should take a clone from this plant, since it's a for sure female, and grow it. I was planning on cutting off a decent branch and then keeping it in 12/12 flower cycle, next to this one, would that produce more bud or just flower at the same time as the big one lol?

I'm gonna' post some new pics soon, we got buds formed and growing, she's been flowering for about a month now, and there's 4-5 main bud sites, and plenty of smaller ones. She smells AMAZING, and from what I've read it will be about another month before she'll be ready for harvest. I'm already planning to cure with lemon peels inside of the jar so it will smell even better. I just started seeing crystals on the leaves about a week ago, and some of the hairs right on top of the main cola are turning brownish, this can't mean it's almost ready for harvest can it? I mean there's barely and bud, they've shown where they will be growing but haven't yet started to fatten up.. Any opinions on that? Probably just burned a little idk. I was also wondering how long I should cure the buds for maximum potency, but I am, of course, excited to be able to smoke as soon as possible, but I do not want to trade any potency for quicker finishing of the product. Take the lower limbs for cuttings, as they tend to produce "popcorn" buds due to lack of light. Place the cutting in veg and let it get some good roots before flowering it. As this plant is already flowering, it will take some time to revert the cutting back to veg. As for feeding with Petersons, I have not had any experience. My advice would be to feed it smaller doses, and feed it less often. Try a feeding schedule of 3 days feed, 2 days plain water to begin with. If the plant seems to be lacking food, then either increase the number of feed days, or increase the nutrient amounts, but very slowly. I would increase the feed days and leave the nutrient amounts the same. As for adding honey to the soil. I have used molasses before to make the buds larger. You are adding sugar, which is simply put, more energy. As for altering the flavor, I have switched to vegan(organic) nutrients to enhance the natural flavor of the plant, rather than introduce an artifical flavor. Keep in mind, what goes in the plant will get burned when smoked. Hence, I don't like using pesticides if at all practical. Hope this helps, and good luck with the grow.
How far from the light are the top colas? It could be light burn that is causing the browning. Try repositioning your lights. Rotate your plants every 2 days by 1/4 turn. This will help to train the plant and distribute light to the rest of the plant. Once the plant is ready for harvest, I trim the branches, getting rid of any leaf, then hang for several days, until the stems are dry and can be snapped. Once the bud is trimmed off, place in mason jars in the dark and open the lids a couple times a day to let any remaining moisture escape. Moisture will cause mold, so be watchful for this. Let the bud cure this way for at least a week, and you should have very good meds. Good luck brother!

I started feeding awhile ago, with the dose recommended on the container, and it seems to be growing fine, I accidently split a stem in half but i kind of hung it on another branch and it seems to still be growing and I think the gap is closing ever so slowly, lol. Well, I love the natural smell of it now, it's very good, some of the best I've ever smelled, I didn't know growing good bud would be so easy, you should let recreate nature for her and she'll take care of you too I guess, isn't nature beautiful? It is astounding that you can make nature illegal, but that's another story... So how much honey should I put in there, like a teaspoon twice a week or so?
I think CFLs in the right enviroment can produce a decent enough yeild but going upto 9 oz its not very likely mate, just get as much as you can out of the lights you have and the plants will repond well, I just use cheap black an white pvc doubled over to make it light proof, but alos have a DR240 tent which has nice relective mylar. If you have the budget and the space maxism it by getting nice hood/reflective walls/have the lights @ right height and thats the ,most you can do mate its been working for me as far as lighting is conserned. You know I was watching a lot of Ron Paul videos and it's scary to see some of the things we do under the name of democracy, which we don't have as long as there's an electoral college. I remember you don't have audio but there's a video that explains what us being in the Middle East is like for the Arabian people called,"Chinese troops in Texas," that has words for everything it says. I'm half Arab, half white, and I never condone the killing of innocent people, even if someone is doing it to you, I'm an American and that's where I was born, but as soon as I speak the truth people jump to," oh so you agree with terrorism..," etc. Ron Paul is the only honest candidate I've seen this year and they've done so much to keep him from winning, editing videos, lieng about polls (like Al Gore and Bush), you name it. I don't even know why people still think that their vote counts, it clearly does not, Al Gore won the popular vote (by FAR) but Bush was elected... Now we're sanctioning Iran (Act of war, is someone sanctioned us, we'd attack them, we'd probably attack them even if we thought they were thinking of doing that, lol) and I'm afraid for innocent Americans that will be harmed because of this, it may very well start a WWIII.
I don't want anyone to get hurt, but under the Patriot Act you have no rights, you should never have to sacrifice your rights for security.. They hide these things in bills about stopping children from being abused for example etc. no one will vote against that, but on page 1589, etc. they put other laws in to be passed along with it.. Anyways I'm applying for a couple jobs and finishing school online, because I can't work and go to school everyday, besides I can't stand being around some of these kids they're sooooo stupid, and they brag about that! What have we come to... lol I got a 98 in my Sophomore English class that I have to re-do and a 95 in my other one, but I failed with a 30% last year, which was because I stopped doing work for my teacher cause she made me mad, which was stupid on my part because it doesn't affect her.. patience my friend. theres been days ive seen no growth then last two weeks seemed to double every 24 hrs. its a beautiful plant . i still cut too early.

My father is french/canadian/indian, and my mother is of dutch heritage. Talk about a mutt...lol. I served in the navy for 9 years, as a nuke weps specialist. I became disabled in an accident, and was retired out. Went back to college and attained a degree in engineering. I worked mostly in low voltage systems design for over 20 years. I used to be a diehard republican hawk, until I realized they were polar opposite of what I stood for. The problem with Ron Paul, is that if we were to initiate his changes, this economy would collapse, and folks would be much worse off. Anarchy would prevail. Slow incremental steps are required to turn this about. But I hear where you are coming from.
Yes, be patient, the plants will do their thing, and you will soon have larger buds.

Thanks for the reassurance guys, I have a magnifying glass but it's not enough to really see the trichomes, you think I'll be able to tell when to harvest without a microscope? I'm going to wait until I can get a lot of amber trichomes I really want that knock you out, put you to bed kind of high, that way I can slow up on the painkillers (It's killin me..) lol. Those drugs are too expensive and harm your body too much. I've heard of the herijuana strain which sounds amazing, all the great buzz without killing yourself slowly.. What ratio of cloudy to amber would you recommend for that type of high? I'll post some pics in the morning when I get up, started that online schooling cause I hate getting up at 7 AM every day, even though I do wake up at 7 to turn the lights on for my plant, lol, but then I usually go back to bed. GMT, that's crazy I'll have to hear some stories sometime, I'm totally against war, but there are people who have to do it and there are good people who do it for the right reason, as there are people who do it for the wrong reason. I'm sorry that you became disabled while fighting for us, and I think it's wrong that you are one of those people that aren't legally allowed to use the medicine that you prefer and that helps you. They want you to use their medicine/painkillers.. The kind they make chemically in a lab that kills more people than their cousin heroin.. Anyways thanks again everyone for the comments like I said I'll post some pics in the morning, I have many, many, many trichomes/crystals, and the hairs (mainly near the top of the plant) are turning redish/orange and curling up, but I've heard this isn't a good way to tell when harvesting is ready, so hopefully the buds will bulk up soon. I also know that I should flush for good taste for about 2 weeks before harvest people say. I've been feeding every watering 1/4 tbs of Peter's House Plant Special 15-30-15, along with a tbs of honey mixed in the gallon of water before watering (just started the honey thing not too long ago).

I actually have a whole new setup u guys will see tomorrow, I added 2 lights for a total of 7 (5 2700k spectrum CFL's, 1 5000k spectrum CFL, and 1 light that I don't know what it is but my friend used it before me to grow) , and my grandma gave me one of those things you get dressed behind or something (Those fold out stand up things) of which I stapled the mylar blanket onto, that way it isn't held over the plant by the lights anymore.

have you tried using any cardboard wrapped in mylar to direct the lights to the plants. with no direction your losing precious lumens. LOVE YOUR PLANT AND YOUR PLANT WILL LOVE YOU BACK
