Gardeners are a different breed

Some people can garden and some can't. Some people can learn and Some just don't have the green gene. Here's to all of us that do and enjoy every second of it all

Figured we could show off our unconditional green love for those of us who have fruit, flower, veggies in addition to our cannabis gardens.

Gardening of any kind is just so therapeutic for me, I love sharing my own and seeing others.

I've got assortments of mild to spicy peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, peas, beans and strawberries. Lots of assorted lillies, hasta, daisies, amongst other flowers and various sedlums.

Spread your green love to all that will appreciate it!

Hi Brew. Knew you would find me here. I love it. I had one outgrow a 3gl and nearly die on me. Day after I upped her to a 5 she came back. Yours is so full, fresh and vibrant!

I've got a lovely 2 year old bonsai tree I forgot I wanted to throw on here also. They are one of my favorite and this is my first and only but certainly not my last!

Hey butterfly girl, I was out at dusk & this came buzzing around my petunia. Got any idea what what kind of moth this is. ? I think it might be a Hawk moth. It sure was a big sucker

Another Bloody mess

That is absolutely one of the neatest things I have ever seen! What causes that? Is it because of the sugar production?

Oh she is a beautiful moth!!!! I am not too familiar on the big moths I had to look an orange one up that came into my yard the other day but I would venture to guess that is a hawk moth. The second shot is awesome of her. Looks like The Mothman Prophecies or Silence of the Lambs

this is what I read -the compound responsible for the color actually helps protect against fusarium (fungus)
It is caused by heart rot ( when the center of tree starts to rot). these trees where rotten in the center
A couple were over 2 foot probably close to 100 years old

It looks like it happened where a branch was cut or broken , than was not sealed & started to rot .
Tree had lots of holes where birds & squirrels were nesting

Wow. So it really is like being sick. I'm feeling a certain way now about these 100 yr old trees. Especially after my "visit" tonight, my empathy towards these magnificent creatures is super high. I need to smoke a bowl and relax and get back on here and catch up everywhere else in the morning. My soul is bruised today even though I had a great day, deep things are happening bigger than me. I can feel it.

Couldn’t agree with you more, gardening is therapuetic. I spend many hours in my garden, heck I even enjoy weeding! (No not that kind). In the winter I grow garlic and asparagus, in summer, several different kinds peppers, tomatos, acorn and butternut squash, zucchini, dill, anise, oregano, parsley (can’t kill that stuff off) and cucumbers. I used to grow orchids, had about 15 different kinds, but I no longer have the conditions for them.

Wonderful assortments Phyto and yes, total zen when gardening for sure!

I've got 2nd yr asparagus so next year we will finally be able to harvest and I'm excited!

Orchids, you can grow! It took me a couple years to get the hang of them-now I keep 2 in the house all the time but I couldn't imagine more! Plenty of other houseplants though, especially love my ivy and bonsai and of course my bamboo propagation army lol

Just was out there before, 1st red jalapeño is coming up, I've only had green thus fat. Also my first colored bell peppers are coming in, had only green prior to today!

I just love the daily harvests!!! And the cute tiny veggies that come up every now and then!

That looks great! I've been harvesting zucchini for about 6 weeks, the spaghetti squash and butternut are about finished. The darn powdery mildew is making it's yearly return on the squashes. I wanted a few cucumbers, and found some old seeds, I planted all ten figuring only half would geminate, wrong, all ten came up! I'm loaded with cukes! Have lots of jalapeno, serrano, and fresno chiles. My tomatoes are almost 6 feet tall, lot's of green tomatoes but nothing harvestable yet, hope they all don't come due at once (except for the roma tomatoes which I make and freeze salsa out of). All the asparagus has gone to seed, should be a great crop next year. Also, lots of lemons and limes. Still drowning in garlic too, I waaay overplanted, ended up with about 250 heads, so I've been pickling/canning garlic. Though I don't grow them, I got a couple gallons of Blackberry/Himalaya berries given to me, and made 24 half pints of seedless jam!
All the excess veggies I put out on a table in front of the house and people can come by and take what they need, all free, although someone did leave me a couple bucks last year.

May I present the watermelon table .Had to build something before these guys got to big .
Growing one Caroline type watermelon in a plastic bag, filled with soil sitting in my half filled compost barrel ,growing up the side of my shed. Hopeful to get a couple of 10-12 lbs melons before frost. Picking off all the baby melons that are still forming ,also all the blooms & new grow tips .

Brew is a master gardener if you all didn't know. He has a treasure trove of things going! So great to have all of us into the veggies and fruits and trees too! I love it!
All you have to do is learn how to feed yourself, makes growing weed easy:thumb:
For some! I know others who tried by treating theirs as tomatoes and epically failed! But for those of us that have it in us, ABSOLUTELY!
