HPS for veg? Problems?

I’ve seen these pictures of plants”praying”. Mine were doing that as small clones under the T5 ballast. I moved them to the HPS 1000w. They aren’t fucked up m, just not as happy. I know HPS is less than ideal, but it’s what I have. (The T5 is in a different tent and is used as my nursery.)

What is going on with the plant when the light type is changed?

Hi mate - the sudden change of spectrum will cause some weirdness as the growth pattern changes, but she will right herself in 7-10 days, they nearly always do

I agree with Growings...

Generally the plants will need to "conform" to the new lighting spectrum, intensity, heat...etc... so it may take a week or 2 to really see a difference.

Plants "move" and change their growth based on spectrum, intensity and other factors, so give them time and you will see them slightly change under HPS... Most likely you will see them stretch out more due to the increased Red:Far Red ratio from HPS and the leave sizes may also change due to intensity and spectrum.
