Meanwhile, the polar opposite of the 24 Karat is doing just fine. These buds are a good example of what type of buds you end up with sometimes if you top a branch really late, like a day before flower or whatever. The branch gets no time to develop a stem if it’s a minimal stretcher, as the Strawberry Banana definitively is. All five I’ve grown now - barely any stretch. With minimal stem on a topped branch, in my experience, you end up with small buds. These are going to end up like maybe a few grams apiece when dried. Beautiful, olive shaped buds that widen at the bottom, super stinky and trichome-y, and rapidly coloring up nicely. I so love this strain. The yield is not even an afterthought.

Thanks @Bill284. If I gave a shit about it I’d look twice. It a quarter ounce. Who cares? I looked once and said close enough. I will not do the same with the Strawberry Banana. That’s maybe two-three ounces of sheer perfection, and you know I never say that.

She is rocking. In the sunlight her buds look very much like the Pineapple Upside Down Cake buds from my last outdoor grow. Wow. I am actually beginning to amass reference points. Historically with my experience I have never had one of this strain go past 70 days. Looks to be about on the same trajectory. Around 70-ish.

FYI

I need an auto to follow on the heels of the Strawberry Banana and to keep that train rolling I’m starting a regular auto today. A White Widow from Original Harvest Seeds via Pacific Seed Bank. Try out a genetic I haven’t tried before. I think I can make a nice little auto with a sweet canopy in a 3 of coco and still control it enough to keep it inside the outdoor furniture rig. So that the plan, the outside rig, 3 of coco, White Widow auto, @Prescription Blend nutes. Since I have space right now she’ll start in the 5x5 which is currently being used for the auto grow in the other journal. I’ll toss her into this journal as an add on and when the Strawberry Banana is done this journal is done and I’ll transfer her to the auto journal. Seed is in water.
