Pulled 8oz of dry buds from 4 plants in a 2x4 tent, was feeling like jungle in there at the end lol

I hope to do a little better for this second grow, really happy to grow again :)

That said, let's get to serious shit :yummy:

STRAIN: NYC Diesel (same strain than last time)
NUMBER OF PLANTS: 4 plants
STAGE: Veg
HOW OLD: 6 weeks
GROW SPACE: Indoor, 2'x4' grow tent
MEDIUM: Soil
SOIL MIX: Basic soil + 30% perlite + 5-10% dolomite lime
NUTES: FoxFram trio (BigBloom, GrowBig, TigerBoom), went for the easy way
SIZE OF POT: Red solo cup -> currently 1gal -> eventually 3 or 5 gal
SIZE OF LIGHTS: 150w CFL -> currently 250w MH -> eventually 600w HPS
COOLING: Cooltube
FAN: 6" Vortex S-Line, pretty quiet I love it
AVERGAE TEMP: 21-25°C
AVERAGE HUMIDITY About 50%
PH: Between 6 and 7, not too sure, got no good pHmeter

Hoping to yield 8-10oz

NOTE: : The plant pictured alone is always the same, and it is the biggest of the 4

Here they are at week 1, had 6 at that time, but selectionned the 4 elites :riskybusiness:

I'm planning to throw them in flowering in 2 or 3 weeks, depending on their growht!

So that's where I am for right now, I will try to keep it updated at least weekly.

Hope you enjoy it and ask if you have any questions :peacetwo:

Update time!

Little babies are in week 7 from seed now and growing good!

So here thay are as of right now, 4 days from last pics

The biggest one
This is the biggest since the begining, topped him about 10 days ago

Bonus
Have you ever seen this, 2-3 silly grass pieces of grass appearing in your garden?:hmmmm:
Cause this plant has them since week 2 I think, but now they are taller than the plant itself :biglaugh:
Do you think there is any problem with letting it chill there?
Photo_Oct_24_8_43_06_PM.jpg

Will be cloning them soon, if you guys have any advices, never done that yet.

So that's it for now, feel free to reply if you have any advice/questions/comments

Till next time, keep blazing :grinjoint:

Sup guys!

Been 10 days since last update, pretty busy with school these days :trance:

They are now finishing week 8, entering week 9 tomorrow

Still looking pretty good

Planning to transplant them in 5 gal grow bags probably this weekend.
Not sure tho, cause I lollipopped them and cutted some clones yesterday...
Do you think it's too much of a stress if I transplant them 3-4 days after lollipopping them?

Also planning to throw them in flowering next week!! :slide:

Here are the pics!

Usual family pic
Getting bushy :)

Lollipopping
You can see the lollipopping i done, mostly on the biggest one on the left

The clones
First time doing clones! Used Rootech gel as rooting hormones and planted them in Jiffy pellets. They are currently under a dome and a CFL at 22-23°C and arround 90% humidity, I hope everything will work :Namaste:

So that's it for now!

If you want more info, photos or have any questions don't hesitate!!

Enjoy ;)

When did you start feeding them? How much did you use? I started on my 2nd week with grow big and big bloom but i was using cal mag because i use ro water

Started feeding them in week 4 from seeds with 2tsp/gal Bigbloom and 1tsp/gal Grow big. Last grow I started earlier, after only 2weeks from seeds, but I started with less nutes.. Idk why I waited so much this time

I'm feeding them full nutes since week 5, following foxfarm schedule. I use Big bloom every watering and Grow big every other watering. Plants seems to like it, never had any real defiencies

Never used cal/mag, but i'm using tap water that I let sit at least one day so the chlore can evaporate (at least that's what I heard)

What are the benefits of ro water? never heard of that before. Is it hard to do?

For the transplant i mean if the growth rate is back to the usual after the cutting i would and the flowering idk anything but i feel like youd want to veg it a little bit longer so its roots could settle in its new home id say the shortest would be a week IMO but im a newb so idk lol

Week 9-10

So I transplanted them 2 days ago in 5gal grow bags and they've been doing pretty good since. Could have transplanted a bit earlier, roots were growing all over the place in there.

Planning to throw them in flowering next weekend!

The 2 plants I topped seem to have a little deficiency, some older leaves are yellowing a littlte bit, not sure what it is but i'm not really worried about that

Photo_Nov_11_2_44_58_PM.jpg

Photo_Nov_11_2_41_47_PM.jpg

A little more worried about those spots I found today tho, not sur what it is, if you can tell it would surely help!
Pretty small for the moment, and it's only on one plant. I would tell by the look it a calcium defficiency, but there's a lot dolomite lime (granular) in my soil, about 2.5%-5%, and I heard it's a source of cal and mag, so not sure what causes these spots...

Photo_Nov_11_2_42_18_PM.jpg

No sign of roots on the clone yet, 9 days have passed since i cut them.
Added them a 2nd 42w CFL
4/6 are looking good and 2 are looking really droopy... they ave been in the dome with vents closed for the first 2 days and with vents opened since day 3 with about 1 day of aeration without the dome.
The dome is now back on with humidity at about 90% humidity and temp arround 22-23°C.
If I dont see any roots yet, so I should let them in the dome, right?

Anyway, ladies are still growing good and can't wait to see some budzzzz on there :peacetwo:

Ok so the nutrient deficiency is getting worst on two babies. It only affects the 2 i topped.
Might go at the store get some cal-mag, I think the first 2 pictures look like a mag deficiency an the last picture a cal deficiency..
What do you guys think? And can cal-mag be found in a store like homedepot?

Leweed's Soil NYC Diesel Grow - 600W HPS - 2016

Yeah been pretty busy these days..but they're doing fine!

The yellowing was on older leaves, but calcium spots were on about 2 weeks old leaves I would say.
Anyway I got some calmag at the hydro store and I think they are ok now! Hard to tell if new spots appear, but doesnt seem and growth rate seems back to normal. (for a couple days I wasnt seing much new growth, maybe due to transplant and cal-mag def.. but transplant went pretty smooth, so not sure ) and maybe i'm just crazy and they grew just fine

420-magazine-mobile244902398.jpg

Also, I just changed to flowering yesterday and swiched the 250w mh to the 600w hps.
Here's the only photo i have of the ladies for rightnow, they're sleeping

Let's go for a 9-10weeks of flowering!!

May defoliate/lollipop a bit at the end of stretch perdiod, do you think it's ok or should i not touch them since they are now in flowering?

1 week into flowering update.

They are growing FAST!!

Temp with the 600w HPS is average 27C

Just to show you the growth:

So that's it for now! Like i said on last post, might defoliate/lollipop a little bit in 1week to aerate and have a better light penetration, do you think it's ok to remove a couple leaves in early bloom? It seems controversial to remove leaves in flowering period..

enjoy

it's smelling sooooo good in the tent! i'd sleep in there if i had enough space.

so it's day 15 of flowering and ladies are still doing great!

Stretch should be almost over now, but holy F they grew a lot during the last 2 days :cheer:

One of them (the same that had cal-mag problems earlier in veg) seems to have a little deficiency, remarked this on a 3-4 leaves today:
Photo_Dec_10_4_21_48_PM.jpg

Not looked much into it yet, but does anyone have an idea of what it could be?

Also might look into defoliating a little bit tomorrow if I find some time (damn finals  )

that's it for now, enjoy!

Merry christmas folks!

Little update as week 5 of flowering is
beginning

I remarked my hps was flickering a little bit since 1 day or 2, wasnt sure if it was normal or not. Turns out it wasnt, 2 days ago my hps burned out. Idk for how long they have been in the dark, maximum 3h i think.

I went dirrectly to the store to grab a new bulb. I think they are doing fine now.

Here's the familly pics
420-magazine-mobile426086002.jpg

And a couple more pics:

420-magazine-mobile154449075.jpg

I have a plant turning purple, one turning a little bit purple and yellow, one turning mostly yellow and one staying green ...
Leaves turning yellow are mostly old leaves so I don't worry much about it.
Purple is probably due to low temps diring night, it's arround 18°C at night and 26-30°C during day. pH is arround 6.5 so that shouldnt be the prob.
Remarked a little heat stress too on one plant only ( the biggest one), but that's weird because temps rarely get over 30°C.
420-magazine-mobile540915159.jpg

420-magazine-mobile2104498610.jpg

Overall i'm pretty happy with the grow, I still expect to pull out 8oz even if they have some minor deficiencies, they should get trough :)

Thanks guys, appreciated.

So it's update time, better late than never ;)

Ladies should be ready in a little more than 2 weeks, gave them their last nutes this weekend. Next watering will be plenty of fresh water for the flush.

The tent is getting really colorful, there is a lot of purp n yellow. Plus the dank smell. I love it

Here are the pics, cant wait to harvest those babies!

#1: The pretty Flacko
The most beautiful colorfully

#2: The monster

#3: Young Thug
The smallest one
420-magazine-mobile1180638093.jpg

#4: The weak-ass big yielder
I had to attach this one with 3 strings beause he was leaning wayyy to much lol. He has always been leaning but now it couldnt stand the weight of the nugs.
This one has been topped like #2, but has smaller top nugz and a lot more nugz all around the plant.
