PPM run off soil

so this is my first grow and i’m just wondering about the ppm runoff my chart saying 600-800 ppm but wen i do my run off everything is coming out 167 ppm what am i doing wrong can you plz give me some advise on how to raise it i’m growing in soil and i’m starting to see Deficiencies on my plants my leaves are dying and drying on the tips

you are trying to compare a soil grow to a drain to waste hydro...apples and oranges...

run off in soil tells you absolutely zero. It is less than a worthless measurement. It is not only a waste of time but it can scare you into thinking there is a problem, when there is not.

Let's see a picture of your plant with the problem Tell us about your soil and what you have done so far, and we will get you all sorted.

@Emilya i also just started checking the ppm in my last 3 watering before that i wasn’t and the first time i check the ppm it was no where near the target of the ppm on the chart

in soil just throw your ppm meter away and use the fluid measurements per gallon to figure out your dosage. ppm is a hydro thing... it has no application in soil

PPM on that chart is what is going in (water with nutrients) not what it's coming out at (not sure if many or if any soil growers measure PPM there either). And like she said in her first post the ppm of your runoff is meaningless in soil as it's not an accurate account of anything at all.

it appears to me that you are having a potassium deficiency. They question is why?

ok cool so the question is should i even check the ppm before i start watering or just don’t worry bout it mix up the nite and just water because looking at this feeding chart here for soil
