:welcome:
This is my second attempt at a first grow. My first attempt failed when nothing
sprouted and my very first seed came in. I have my seeds from the Attitude seed bank :yahoo: The seeds i have are Hashberry and 8 Miles High i also got two free feminized seeds one being White Widow and the other is Blue Widow.
For this grow im using 5 Hashberry seeds & 5 8 Miles High seeds lets hope it go's better then the last one :roorrip:

I will be growing indoors in soil(not sure what soil yet)
I will also be hand watering.
im starting them in small cups then transplanting to 2-3 gallon pots
The fert's im using are Miracle-Gro all purpose 24-8-16 for vegging
and Miracle-Gro ultra bloom 15-30-15 for flowering
My vegg box has 6 4ft florescent bulbs 3 warm white and 3 cool white
and the box measure's 2 foot wide and 4 foot long and 39 inches high and is lined with mayler.
My flowering space will be 3.5 feet wide 3.5 feet long and around 8 feet high and will have 2, 90 watt ufo LED's and a couple of 43 watt (150 watt output) cfl's (Thanks Hush)and will also be lined with mayler(when construction is completed).

And a pic of my vegging box

I also took some sandpaper and sanded
the last 2 Hashberry and 1,8 Mile High, I think i sanded to much of
one of the Hashberry seed's hopefully they sprout soon.

Re: Prodotype's seconed, first grow in soil / Hashberry & 8 Miles High

Ok this morning i checked out my garden and 2 of the 8 Mile High
and 1 of the Hashberry have poked through also the last 8 Mile High seed
has cracked and is in soil, which is 100% germination of the 5,8 Mile High i started with.
I had to sand one of the Hashberry seed's a little
more and have my fingers crossed that it sprouts.
here are some pic's of the two 8 Mile High

Re: Prodotype's seconed, first grow in soil / Hashberry & 8 Miles High

Ok it's been 5 days since i last posted and alot has changed,
First of all im not going to use Miracle-gro at all instead im going to
go all organic using Molasses and Peruvian Seabird Guano. I'v started using the molasses
at 1\2 TSP per gallon(4 liters) warm water every 3rd watering and will do something similar for the
Seabird Guano when it comes in, any input on using these two together will help out alot
Now to pic's of the kids
Here's all the 8 Mile High

I'm in prodotype, do you have a fan going on those ladies?

Re: Prodotype's seconed, first grow in soil / Hashberry & 8 Miles High

First off congrats on all the new babies, its nice when all the seeds do what they are supposed to do. On the feeding, if you are using Schultz Garden safe all natural potting mix you should not feed the plants anything but water for the first month at the very least. The soil has everything the plant is going to need for at least that amount of time and adding to it is only going to hurt the plant not help. The molasses won't hurt it will help build up some organisms in the soil but I would not add any more for a while. Just water for now.

Just an opinion, its your grow and you do what you think is good for your little babies.

Great job so far + rep

Re: Prodotype's seconed, first grow in soil / Hashberry & 8 Miles High

Hey Bud !

nice job on the box ! I love grow boxes. I can t wait to see your girls get big.

I gotta friend that swears by molasses in his cocogrow. it sucks in my hydro's.
seed breeder told me to spend money on a good nute system that doesnt need supplementing, instead of money and time on fighting bugs, mold in my system. working so far . not one bug, clear nutes, very happy weedz. my buddy fights the bugs, the mold, nute spikes, ph issues, etc. bet that would suck.

peace bro, and happy gro:goodluck:

Re: Prodotype's seconed, first grow in soil / Hashberry & 8 Miles High

Thanks Hush for the kind words and i cant wait for my girls (hopefully all girls)
to get big also it takes a little more time under 4' floro's which is ok by me i would rather
go slow for now as im still a noob lol. I have red alot on molasses and it seems to make since to feed the microbes that feed your favorite plant's although im still trying to figure everything out. I have red that molasses is not good for hydro applications slimmy roots are not cool. hopefully im as lucky as you and don't have to deal with mold or bugs and ph issues im not looking forward to it if things start to slide.

Thanks for stopping by brother, go green.

A quick measurement 8 Mile High

I started having heat issues at night wanting to run my lights 24\7 so i had to install
a small 4" fan to keep the heat out, i will have to upgrade the fan in the future as i can only keep one 4' floro lamp on at night witch is ok when there small.
Pics of 4" fan outside of gro-box

and inside gro-box

This is the soil im using i know i should have posted this earlier sorry but i
wasn't sure what soil i was going to use here's a pic,
my-soil.jpg

I mix 1 bag 18L Potting mix and approximately half bag 4.5L of Perlite.
The soil turned out to be all organic which prompted me to go all organic fert wise.
This explains the change from the start of my journal till now (i hope).

Thanks for stopping by 420
