WELCOME!

Ok, so this is my first grow in soil and I really don't know to much about growing so I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to chime in with grow tips, criticism, humor, and anything else you see that i could do better. I am trying to expand my grow knowledge and learn more about this plant that we love so much and I found out that the 420mag community is the best place for that. Everybody on these forums have been so friendly, generous, and helpful! I hope i see some familiar faces and some new faces as well checking in on my grow every now and then. Ok, so I'm hoping to move my plant from my 2Liter bottle to my darkroom i bought. Hopefully I will have it done by this weekend coming up. I'll post some pics very soon!!

Good luck on your grow. Looks like you got a good start. If you have the money for it I would recommend buying a MH bulb for your veg, and switch back to the HPS bulb when you are going to flower.
Also I would not recommend watering every day. From what I have read its better giving more water one day, and let it dry out a bit before the next watering. I think thats the easy way to go for the beginner to avoid over watering.

How much do you think a MH bulb would cost? Also thank you for the info about watering I will start giving it more water today then let it dry out a bit 2maro, Thanks so much for the info!

I'm not sure what the cost of the bulb is in your country. I live in a expensive country and I had to pay about 100$ for mine.

If you are going to change your watering routine to the one I recommend I would say its essential to have drainage hole in the bottom of your pot. If your pot is see trough remember your roots don't like light, so paint your bottle black on the outside, or wrap something around it so the roots don't get any light.

I live in the United States and I looked up the price online and its almost the same price that you spent. It was $84 at a local store. I think I'm going to save up my money and buy it. Also I already put drainage holes in the bottom I'll take a better pic once I move my plant into my darkroom this weekend and thank you for the advice, I will probably just put electrical tape wrapped around the bottle right now untill I get my new pot this weekend as well.

UPDATE

Ok, so its been 2 1/2 weeks since my plant has broke ground. I'm just posting new pics up to show some growth from the last pic i had up. Its still to early to tell if its a female or male. I hope its a female tho'

MINOR UPDATE

Okay, so it's been around 2 or 3 weeks since my plant has broke ground. I have ran out of fox farms nute's so i went to home depot and bought Alaska Fish Fertilizer for now. I haven't been able to move my plant into the darkroom I bought due to lack of space in my room. I also haven't takin' any recent pics because my friend has came back and took his camera back. I will try to borrow another friends camera and I will update my journal. My plant has grown fairly big as well. Its starting to smell a little bit. I will have to buy carbon filters. I also think it's a female, you could see little pistils forming. I will put pics up very soon

Okay so here's the pics.

As you can see the leaves on top are sloping down, I don't know if something is wrong with it or if it's suppose to go like that. Any advice or help on what i could do would be gladly appreciated

UPDATE

A major change is happening in my grow and I would like to inform everyone that checks in on my grow. I will be changing my plant into a 5gal. pot next week, I will still be using Fox Farms Ocean Forrest Potting Soil + Perlite. Also I will start using the following Nutes: Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, Open Seseme, Chaching, Beastie Bloom and Bush Doctor Sledgehammer. I finally have enough room and I will moving my plant from the corner of my room into the darkroom 80. I'm going to put a sun system 2 400w HPS 120v light in the darkroom 80. For the ventilation a 4in. Ecoplus Axial Fan for the exhaust and i will just have hole opened up so the fan could suck air in. I will put a regular fan in the darkroom as well to strengthen the plants stem. Well I'm not going to get back on till I have my whole setup finished. Well untill then

UPDATE

Well I really didn't get to do my ideal setup yet but I did make the corner space better for my plant. I just moved it to a bigger pot its about a 1gal. or 2gal. big. It was a pain transplanting it I had to stay up till 2a.m. to do it. I had to wait till everybody was asleep and try to do it quietly. I also did put a fan in and made it more undercover. Due to Christmas because family always comes over so I just pot boxes in front of the space where my plant lives. I also didn't get my 400w HPS lamp yet because there stock ran out. So i just got a 100w MH bulb. I will put pics up in a little while.

Well I just took some pics a couple of minutes a go of my baby aha, and the setup for now and the boxes I put in front so you can't see the light, here they are .

Well guys I really don't know if i should let my baby stay in veg. longer or put it into flowering ? And I still havn't thought of a name for her , any suggestions guys ?

Plant's gotten way bigger i'll put some new piks up. I think I have a Ph problem tho' little white spots are starting to appear on some of the leaves. I'm going to buy Ph test strips at the pet store and see if ph is the actual problem. I realized too that my plants to early to tell if it's a female or male but I hope it's a male. If it's a female tho' am gna call her Estella

I just got back from taking piks. Well I think it's a male because you could see 2 little balls on one of the stems :/ Well I really don't know yet only a matter of time will tell me hopefully it's a female but then again if it's a male i'll just chop it and grow orange kush all over again but i'll be more prepared the next time than this grow because i really have no idea what am doing most of the time except for watering and turning the light on haha. Well here's the bud porn !!! lol

And here's the pik of spots on the leaf and the tips turning a yellow color then becoming black, they are circled. Any help on this? I think it's a ph problem tho'

Well I think am going to put my plant into flowering because it's been to much of a hassle with this grow. I've had nothing really setup and plus I'm going to move in a little bit so i figured why not just put it in flowering already b4 i chop it. Well as of 1/8/10 my plant will be in flowering. I'll put some new pics up pretty soon

Well I'm thinking it's male now guys. It has little balls forming on it's stem i'll put some pics of the balls in a little bit but i think I'm just going to chop it right in the next couple days :/ Ohh well tho' I could always grow again but have things setup. But when I put the pics up could anyone please check it out and tell me if its looking like a male before I chop it because I don't wanna chop it if it's a female.

Well it's a male for sure I did some research and yup it's a male. I'm just going to chop it right now then instead of waiting. Well it was fun this whole grow journal thing and the experience of my first grow will surely pay off 4 my next grow. You guys will see me again fairly shortly back on here. I think I'm going to grow orange kush again or northern lights or purple power Well bye guys!!!!
