Stunted growth

This is my fourth year of outdoor growing, and I have a question. Plants are Gorilla Cookies auto and Strawberry Pie auto growing in 3 gallon pots in generic organic potting soil. Plants went into 3 gallon pots on May 31, and have been outside in full sun and rain since. Plants are about 30 cm in height, which is much smaller than I expected.

All opinions and suggestions are welcome!

needed a bigger pot.
smaller pot and maybe some other minor stress triggered them early. 3 gallon is ok, five is a bit more standard.

what i see is your plants have been stressed because of the heat i would guess + you have a small compact strain your working with. in the future i would make sure u have plant heat shade that blocks at least 35 % of sun out. when the plants are stress you will wind up with smaller not plump buds with alot of water leaves or sugar leaves that grow instead of the bud mass hope this helps

Hello @daveclark hope you are well.
Cute girls. :thumb:
Unfortunately autos are susceptible to stresses that a photo would easily recover from.
Small ish plastic pots aren't great.
You may have used them before with success but I don't think they have done you any favors this time.
I wouldn't use anything smaller than a 5 gallon.
I also prefer cloth bags for air circulation in the pot.
Especially if I'm using cheep potting soil
All it takes is over watering once and you have stunted early growth on your auto.
They are what they at this point.
Nothing to be done to make them bigger.
Feed and water properly till the end and at least you will have some decent bud.
I'd suggest photos for your next run if your looking for more volume.
Sorry about your little ladies.
At least they are healthy now.
Take care my friend.
Bill
