IMO (observation), the same light that vegges best is best for flowering.
Who has demonstrated otherwise? Give me a link to that grow.

You seem to get alot more product with the dry ice iv never tried it but will soon.

Not sure if it stands up to Full Melt tho... The mess is worth extracting just that one size head.

Certainly. I routinely use CMH, cradle to grave. Nice white light.
My first real grow was under a 400 MH. They work well.

The harshness from the HPS was getting tiring Honestly. Since my grow closet IS my room, it doesn't leave me much option to leave unless I actually leave. So the MH is a nice break from the orange. Thanks for the info.

MH will probably slow your flowering, i dont know about yeild.
but it wont hurt your plant. just confuse it alittle bit till you get it back to the right spectrum

Hash making time everyone! I'm also trying out hash for the first time using dry ice method. The harvest is near.

TOG the MH should be fine. Hope you get it replace!

Yeah but my only observation with the Dry Ice method is that I would just consider that extreme Kiefing, At least to me it is. You don't end up with actual bubble hash and you end up smoking pressed kief. With Ice water method and bubble bags you filter through various levels of screens and the lower number the more "Pure" the hash is.

I dunno, that's just me. I called them up and they say that the 30 day warranty only covers shipping damage and that the HPS aren't covered for replacement. I dunno it is frustrating. I will most likely have to buy a new bulb and I am not sure If I will buy from this company again.

See that is my thoughts exactly. It seems like you still get plant particles so it is far from "Pure" Its more like pressed kief than anything.

Yeah. I am going to need to upgrade. I will probably stick with this MH until I buy a new grow kit. I wanna upgrade to a digital/dimmable ballast and a new hood. Cause mine is the very basic of that. I am just shopping around now and I plan on upping to a 600watt digital ballast with Vented hood and some carbon filtration. I will be modding my closet next year in January.

There will be plenty of bud porn tomorrow! I have decided that tomorrow Is my harvest day. the Pistils are in the range of what I want them to be and the Majority of my trichomes are cloudy with a slight percentage of amber. I have been reading that sativa will have less Amber trichomes anyways. If anyone goes by the "Cloudy= head high" and "Amber= Couch-lock" anyways. She is mature enough for harvest so I am getting things in order to harvest. Going to home depot and I am going to make a carboard box grow box with some comp fans. I have some spare parts so I can manage that. I also need to get some mason jars and Odor control. I am so excited I can't contain myself! There will be some bud porn and NUG PORN! Finally! what I have been waiting for.

Yeah I do agree bro but then keif is also very good smoke!

Full melt is about 66.9% pure thc that's bag 75u. The reason the bags work so is cos the first bag or 2 catch all the matter and the other bags catch all the diffrent size heads.

I'm yet to smoke anything that put me in the state this shit did. My pals would buy 75u at £30 a gram... I'm kind and let them smoke it free usaly my house has someone passed out on my couch!

Very nice colors on the Lemon Skunk! Yeah, enter that in Dec POTM.

Extreme keif can be made into hash bar with some heat. Dry ice seem to be faster way at removing trichomes from buds. Can't wait to try it out in few weeks.

Harvest Update:​

(I warn your now this is gonna be an "about my day" kinda post so I will bold the stuff that is important if you don't feel like reading the whole thing)

So I started my day pretty much at 6:30am PST cause honestly, I couldn't sleep. I was excited. I had some cash in my pocket and I was ready to get everything I needed for harvest,smell control and CFL lighting for my next project(Mother cabinet) oh yeah and lunch!

Mission I: Homedepot​

As usual, Home depot sucked. I couldn't find the right lighting and they were out of pretty much everything I needed. I ended up buying two extra large boxes and some screen to make a grow box. I picked up a utility knife and some outlet to socket and Y connectors. They ran out of Y connectors so I said F*** it and decided to finish it up at Lowes. I also picked up some pruning scissors which are pretty bomb( I didn't take pics of everything I got but I will include a list of things later) I spent around 20-30 bucks for everything there.

Mission II: Panera Bread​

So I was out with my best friend since he wanted to tag along and we decided to go to Panera Bread for some soup. I had some Broccoli Cheddar Soup and he had French Onion in a bread bowl. Not much happened here but it was great. I would recommend it to anyone that likes soup and has one near them to go and eat there. We sat in and ate. The manager gave me an extra piece of bread for free which I thought was pretty good.

Side Quest: Fresh and Easy​

We didn't buy any drinks so we decided to walk over to Fresh and Easy for some of there awesome beverages. I got myself some Iced Tea with Lemonade and he got Sweet tea.That kinda completed out meal and we were ready for the next mission!

Mission III: Michaels Arts and Crafts​

I don't go here at all so I was kinda lost. I was looking for mason Jars and I ended up walking right past them. On a side note I seen one of those faery ass Vampires from Twilight(Never watched it I just know they sparkle) He had glitter ALL over his face. I don't know but the people working there all seemed so happy. Anyways, I got my jars and I was on my happy way. While I was waiting inline I also bought some jelly belly candy canes(Don't Judge me they are tasty as hell) conquered that place and made out like a champ.

Mission IV: Lowes​

This place is so much better than Home depot. Light bulbs were right there when I walked in and all the brands they had had all the light temps right on the front. Bought a couple 23w 6500k bulbs and a few 2700K 23w Bulbs and moved on. Picked up the Y connectors I needed and some velcro for my grow box. Was fast and easy.

Side Quest: Jo-anns fabrics​

So my girl crochets and she is going to make me a beanie hat so I thought I'd be nice and pick up the yarn and stuff. I didn't know what I was looking for and I ended up no buying anything. So it was a complete waste of time. Oh well. It was right next to Lowes so it wasn't a problem.

Mission V: Hydro Shop​

Now this is my one stop shop for all things holy(My grow room) I come in so much that they give me mad discounts. I bought a 1gal One gel jug and some mylar. They hooked it up. I came out with the Ona Gel for 29 bucks and the mylar ran me 25 buck! You might think"oh, well that is about right" its the 50"x100' roll. It was pretty sick. I love this place. I was done here but I stuck around to have a little chat and then it was time for the trek home.

Mission VI: Constructing the beast​

By this time it was already 3pm( I left my house at 10:30am) and I was getting all my bags sorted and situated before I put things together. I hung out with my friend fora bit and then he left for home. I started building my Drybox(Which I will get some better pics of it tomorrow) I put things together and Strung up some line for hanging purposes. I ended up spending about 5 dollars on material to build it. I had pretty much everything else. It took a bit to get everything perfect(By my definition) Overall I think it came out pretty nice.

Mission VII: Harvesting the Beast, Powers of the Scissor Gods​

I put some gloves on and got everything together. I sat in my living room cause it was already Lights out in my room so I didn't wanna disturb my sleeping girls. This part took forever. I was nervous I was gonna crew things up. I messed with some of the small branches. I took off the Popcorn bud and threw it in my trim box and carried on. I spent a little more time on the main tops with the fatter nugs. Honestly If I were to guess how much I have, I wouldn't be able to. I have no idea. I took about 1-2 hours to finish up but it was all satisfying. I cleaned up and moved to my room.

Here I am now with a box full of bud and another girl just begging to be chopped.(She will be in the next week or so after the holiday weekend)

I Kinda neglected my duties on my other girls but I will just quick water and I will pick up feeding next week. This week has been very busy for me.

Anyways, Here are some pics to tie ya'll over for now. I know everyone loves the upside-down forest so I hope mine does it for all of you. Any comments or suggestions feel free to add. I am all ears.

All in all I think I did pretty damn good for my first grow. If you like my plants, I did enter the POTM contest so if you like my girls(Especially the one I just chopped) head over and vote! haha for sure. I am more of a " Can man" myself but it has the same effect! At least with the smoke I get it will enhance my appreciation for said Racks and Cans.

I'm glad you can make it to the best part! They smell delicious. If I could send you the smell it was simply amazing. This strong citrusy smell to it with a fresh piney tone to it. Not too skunky like most Skunks but it is very subtle.

As for what I got going on. If you check my Sig(If you haven't already) I have already started on my new grow. I got a few good strains and I plan on adding more. It will be a perpetual SOG in 1Gal pots + keeping 4-6 Mothers happy all in the same. Thanks for the Luck! It was very tiring but extremely satisfying.

Yeah the dry ice knocks it quick! I just noticed it was more along the lines of kief than hash(IMO) I don't think you can get some bubble hash from doing it that way but I am sure the smoke is great still. I will most likely try that sometime though. Just gonna pick up some bubble bags and try my hand at making some bubble hash.
