TLSF's 1st Grow - Soil & Hempy - CFL - 2014

re: TLSF's 1st Grow - Soil & Hempy - CFL - 2014

PERSONALLY I like the idea of a 3 to one ratio in flowering, mostly the 2700k but with one third 6500k as well. Umm, I have HEARD that it is good to have the 2700k in your veg tent as well, but have also heard it makes them try to stretch the internode spacing.... Up to you friend. But def mix it in your flowering room, that bit has been proven.

Thanks for the info again! I will make sure I get some in the flowering room ASAP. I think I'll just do it for the flower.

That worked great for the weaker fan I broke. It was easy finding a adapter with less than 1A. But finding one with 3A or more is frustrating me. I hooked up both of em to the 5A. I think I'll just order two more of the same adapter and just hook one to each. Kinda banging my head on the table for not doing that before. When trying to be cheap backfires and end up overbuying sucks :woohoo:

re: TLSF's 1st Grow - Soil & Hempy - CFL - 2014

Hi TL,

Your girls are looking good :bravo: ATL Hempy recovered. Skinny leaves! She looks SATIVA!!! I see u did some research on your nutes! I'm really interested in how your girls respond. Keep documenting :thumb: I did some research on clones and learned that they take up to 4 weeks to get going. I have 2 clones under 12/12 CFL ( I lack your impressive technical skills). My clones seem healthy. I'm trying to wait until I see new growth before I feed them. I'm feeding my older girls coffee grounds and they seems to like it, the top colas are plumping up :circle-of-love: I need more space. I want to compare the yeild SOG (sea of green) produced by clones with the top colas produced by 12/12 from seed but I just don't have the space. Keep documenting.

re: TLSF's 1st Grow - Soil & Hempy - CFL - 2014

Hey NL!

:thanks: :high-five:

As for skills, I wouldn't go that far :battingeyelashes:

I've read about coffee grounds, eggshells, and a bunch of other things that can be used to feed. It all seemed overwhelming haha! I will sit my ass down and get myself acquainted with that part of the horticultural world... ONE DAY!

I've also seen some great pics on seeds to finish in 12/12; they were lovely. Space for more plants is always a great thing :thumb:

Thanks for stopping by again NL!

Soil:BD is doing good, there are some stuff going on on some of the leaves, but doesn't look bad overall, so I'm just leaving her alone.

The Hempy:ANL has officially bounced back. The first pic is her backside, there's a twin top going on. The second pic is front view of her. Third pic is the middle top that I topped two days ago. Last pic is her front view again, I wanted to showcase where the 'old' growth was, where she was getting only around 400-600ppms of nutes. The new growth starts right where the droopy fan leaves are, when I started giving her 900-1100ppms of nutes. Would have never thought I was underfeeding, thanks for the tip NL :adore:.

Side question: For hempies, when I flush do I feed the same day?
I ask because when I flushed the hempy ANL she felt soft to the touch later that day. Had a hungry droop to her, ended up feeding her the same day I flushed. And she went back to being perky.

No real update on the Hempy:BD, shes getting a bit big, that's about it.

Might feed the hempies tomorrow or Wednesday. The Soil seems good for another... long time. I'm afraid I transplanted her into the 5gal a bit late. Any thoughts?

Cab update:
image_1_34.jpeg
image135.jpeg

I finally got the fans up and running, I ordered two more 5amp adapters and separated them this time. Working great. The fans are able to exchange the air enough, that the temp in the cab is the room temp. Now I have a new temp problem: it gets cold in the cab, around 64-68F in both sides!

I also got some grills for the fans, I'm not ready to lose a finger or another fan! fucked one of my fingers just from the 90 CFM one, don't wanna take any chances with these monsters!

But with the new temp problems comes great news! The PC fans are able to keep the cab cool enough that I can switch out the big ass fans and get like small fans to give the canopy moving. MEANS! More space for plants :yahoo:

Funny sidenote: There are two fans in the veg side. The new 240 CFM one and the old puny 20CFM fan. I was too lazy to take out the small one, so I drilled a new hole for the 240 fan. Now when the cab doors are closed, the 240 fan causes so much pressure that it forces the 20 CFM fan to spin counterclockwise! or just stop completely!

I also finally got some 6500k in the flower side. Just took two from the veg side haha. I feel like its brighter and I like it. I tried putting one 2700k in the veg side, didnt really like it, took it out.

Thank you, come again.

Now if smell is a problem you have the power to use a homemade mini carbon scrubber :bravo: great cabinet though I am setting one up for a friend and I will be stealing some ideas.

Thanks PP. :high-five:

I hope your friends cab comes out nice, goodluck!

There hasn't been a problem with smell; I have some Ona Gel waiting if it becomes a problem. Hopefully won't need a carbon, but thanks for pointing that out.

I took the fan out of the veg side, possible more room for plants, or I can run a scrog net! And when I close the cab, the PC fan causes enough pressure that the intake air is able to cause canopy movement.

Sup TL :goodjob:

Hey :420:

I have some good/bad news.

The bad news: these beauties will now be under the care of my father cause I'll be traveling to another country for studies. I'll try to keep a picture update though.

On a more positive note, these beauties are growing on me! and fast! I honestly had more to say, but you know how it is, :smokin:.

With that said pics:

Soil: BD 4 Weeks flowering

This was taken a few days ago, I'll get a more recent pic, when the lights come on.

I've moved the lights all the way up. I'm scared the ANL will reach it before she gets into flowering. I've been watering ANL everyday for the past 4 days cause shes always dry by the end of the day. I try to let her air out but she always feel soft and hungry if I wait til the next day to do the watering. ANL is just :morenutes: :cheer: To think I almost killed her :circle-of-love:. I was at first gonna transplant the ANL because I wanted her to get bigger but she was so in-tuned and LST'd to the 1Gal bucket and she'll be jumping into flower soon, I said heck let's just do BD. So I expect the BD to blow up after I leave. I'm just worried ANL outgrew the 1Gal and shes drinking up the 1/2 liter res that's at the bottom in one day.

Since thesee are going to the care of my father I told him to water the hempies every 2 days. And I'll try to keep a weekly pic update just for the sake of the journal. And I've enjoyed sharing my enthusiasm for our fave plant, so be on the look out for TLSF's 1-2plant CPU Case Micro grow haha. Since our plant doesnt have a great standing in the Philippines.

Hey :420:

It's been a week or so, since I've left my girls in the care of my Father and here's a few picture updates. He's been :morenutes: the hempy girls everyday at 800ppms of nutes. The girl in the flower is getting watered once a week and shes in her flushing period; 2-3 weeks til' harvest, dry, and cure.

Pictures are very unorganized.
