Unusual branching

Hi, I found something I couldn’t find explanation for so I will ask you good people.

I’m growing Lemon Pie and I’m in a 3rd week of flowering. Everything looks normal except of one branch.
This branch, on one nod, has 3 fans and 3 branches / bud sites. The rest of the plant is usual. My whole question is what causes that irregularities? I used Different HST methods and this particular branch also received quite a lot of bending.

I would really like to know how to force plant to do that as it could be used as a training method that potentially increases yields.

Genetics or luck of the draw

Yeah it’s good, but the question is should I make seeds and try to promote the gene responsible for that or is that futile?

If said job is easily do-able, I would say absolutely.

Might be a slim chance since it's only the one branch showing that trait,but If you've got the means,it wouldn't hurt to try.
If it weren't flowering,you could clone that branch,but it's a bit late for that.

Not polyploid they have two sets of chromosomes so there would be four branches not three . This is called whorled phyllotaxy.

Selfing backcrossing can make it express more they are considered non dominant traits or recessive traits.Inbreeding brings them out more if both parents are f1s of the same parental line. But with F1s of different parents and other hybrids the gene mixing hides there appearances from better gene mixing.

The one i have in my picture is from a selfed hong kong i had and yes all the plants are female as well there may be a male flower here and there but for me thats a ok.

Those seeds may express some hermaphodism but so do the recessive traits that make for cool colors and mutations.
