A marijuana garden at Pine Creek Canyon in Balch Park contained 14,410 marijuana plants that would have had a street value of more than $56 million, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department said.

The illegal plants were located on U.S. Forest Service lands during flights over the area and were eradicated Saturday.

Balch Park is located in mountainous terrain east of Visalia and is part of Giant Sequoia national Monument.
