3rd Generation Do-Si-Do

another beautiful day in the neighborhood, rolled the girls into the sun to get a good look at em. because I'm growing seeds from a hermie I need keep a close eye out for manners. buds are popping out everywhere and they have doubled down on leaf production since I stripped them just about bald 10 days ago.

gave the girls some open sesame and cal-mag before lights out last night. they looked very happy this morning. it's been really hot the past few days, my LED lights make it so much easier to keep the grow box under 90 degrees. I'm still seeing some burning tips on the leaves, I have been giving them open sesame full strength about every 5 days. they need a good flush, a task I'm not looking forward to .

4 days of 90+ degrees. I've managed to keep temps in the grow box at 87,not bad considering it didn't get below 80 overnight. the girls seem to be loving it,the buds are getting very noticeable. like shiny little stars. I have had 2 fans blowing on them 12 hrs a day.

the girls were dry this morning, this hot weather is making them drink like crazy. it was a good time to flush and the back was feeling ok so I poured 4 gallons of water thru 1st one and in a bit I'll do the other. 4 gallons in and 2 and 3/4 gallons runoff.

a couple of tops were getting too tall. so I bent em over, not my best bending , but it had to be done.

my mini plant got a flush too. unlike her sisters in the 15 gallon containers she's in a 1 gallon container. so I just put her in the kitchen sink an poured 2 gallons thru her... I really need start growing more smaller plants. if she produce decent size bud my next grow will be in smaller containers

2 weeks 12/12 , the girls look good. still seeing burnt tips but I think it's minor.they have had 3 servings of open sesame and are loaded with little buds. gave both a flush yesterday. next watering I'll start feeding them some beastie bloom. the beastie bloom has 0 nitrogen, should I be giving them something with a little nitrogen?

so the heatwave broke and the girls had a comfy sleep last night. the stretching is a bit of a pain I have to do some severe bending, the needs of the many outway the needs of the few. in the 2 weeks since I did a big trim,I cut off 2/3 of the leaves. they have grown back more dense than before. I may have a whitefly problem too. in a bit I will roll the girls into the sun and give em a good look over

a little over 2 weeks flowering. the girls looking ok, color still good the buds seem small and dry tho. I need to figure out nutes, I have been using ff open sesame/beastie bloom/cha-ching nutes as stand-alone nutes. maybe that's why things go down hill for me after 6 weeks flw. I can't afford to go buy nutes so for now I'm just give some terp tea along with the ff nutes.

well the stretch seems to have slowed or maybe stopped. I use the thermometer on the back wall to help me see how fast they are stretching. I haven't had to raise it for 2 days now. the buds still look small and dry.

so after growing this little plant and going with just 4 branches I'm thinking that's the way to go for my next grow. 7 smaller containers .in the past I've blamed my late stage problems on being rootbound in too small of a container. so I started with these 15 gal ones but I still have the same issues. time for this old dog to learn new tricks

it's a nice sunny morning so I'm gonna give the girls a big trim. it's 2days early but I've got cloudy/rainy weather coming in for 3 or 4 days. the best thing about having the girls on wheels is I can roll em out of the grow box into a sunny spot and do the job much easier.

ok,I trimmed off a big pile of leaves and little branches from each girl. I also untied the restraints from the bigger one. she closed up like a clam instantly... so I put some spreaders to push them apart .

the girls are back in the grow box , the trimm really opened up the middle. they should get much better air flow now.

I'm throwing the towel in on this grow. my plans for going all organic fell thru, I got some miracle grow for flowering plants 15-30-15. it's my only option at this point. the girls are 3 weeks flowering and the buds are still small and dry. and I don't expect a very good final product. it's really hard to do this on the cheep. I gave the bigger plant some MG today, fingers crossed
