hi everyone. i just got my air cooled hoods and set them up 2 days ago. but i noticed that really nothing much has changed with my room temp. so here are my room specs
1. 9 feet wide by 15 feet long by 9 feet high
2. 3x air cooled hoods with 3x 1000 watt hps lights
3. i have a 8 inch vivosun inline fan with 8 inch duct. the duct itself is 6 inch and i used a 8-6 inch reducer from fan to duct to accommodate the 6inch size of duct ports on the air cooled hoods.
4. the 6 inch duct from fan to 1st hood is around 3 feet long with 1 small bend
5. the duct in between each of the 3 hoods is around 1 foot long
6. and finally the duct from the last hood is around 6 feet long and it goes straight to a window that is sealed off and vented to outside
please note that these are not cool tube hoods they are just regular air cooled hoods and i was having some air leaks around the glass so i put all tin foil tape to cover the gaps and prevent leaks.
- now before i did this i had all my lights just with basic wing reflectors and i used my fan and filter just to get the stale air and heat and smell out and it was extremely powerful... i could hold a piece of paper 5-6 inches away and it would suck it out of my hand and stick to the filter...(just to test the power and suction)
- right now with the fan on max speed setting it barely holds a piece of tissue but only when i lay it up on it. so i lose alot of power and i dont know how to remedy this. i just placed an order for one of those 6 inch metal duct booster that i will add to the end of the duct near the window vent and hopefully that will help. but as it stands my room temp didnt change and i am getting little to no suction. i need to fix this especially when i start flowering for the smell.
any help will be greatly appreciated. and as for if anything is plugged... its not i checked and double checked everything i even went outside and i can see grass it melted all the snow so i am getting some exhaustion lol.
maybe the 6 inch duct booster will fix my issue? or is there any hints tricks tips that can help me?
i edit to add some pics so you all can see for a better visual.
