Auto double harvest?

Hey all. This may be a stupid question, but here goes. If I plant an auto flower plant and it is ready after 8 or 9 wks., and I "pluck" the buds but leave the plant in the ground, will it continue to flower until freeze up or is it a one trick pony? Thanks, Herb.

Why not just grow a photo plant? You could early harvest some buds if you like.

Bad idea, when freezing will come plant will die.
