Autoflower has ran out of room in aero garden!

I have an autoflower I started in my 9 pod aero garden and it's ran out of headspace as well as root room . It's a sativa and it's been growing now for right either weeks and is starting to bud. A friend told me I could remove the aero gardens light and just hang up an led light I have (pic of light included). Is that a sufficient light for growing? Also, I'm wondering if trimming off the sucker leaves is good for it and will it help bud production? Thanks!

That is supposed to say it's been growing now for about eight weeks

That light will be insufficient. Look. For something 200wt or more. Sativa strains usually take a bit longer to harvest than others. I would leave the leaves, as they absorb the light to help the plant grow.
