Bigger air bubbles - more air?

I pluged the end of my air line where the air stone should be and drilled 6 one eighth inch holes thur both sides of the air line.
My guestion is : am I getting more air in to my water now than with a sand stone??

Smaller bubbles are better for more air in water

Zakey got that right.

The finer the bubbles the more surface area is exposed to to water as the bubbles rise and easier for them to dissolve in the water and saturate it with oxygen. The cooler the water is the more oxygen it can hold as well.
