Hey @BooMtoLate - good question.

The light distortion makes it tricky, but I am seeing clear and no amber yet.

What strain is it?

How many weeks into flower are you? That is, how many weeks past pistils first showing up?

How do the pistils look?

Please make sure you check the trichomes on the calyxes and not just the trichomes on the sugar leaves.

Hi Doc,
It's 4 Alaskan thunder F.... 6 week in flower. It's a 9 week strain I believe.
I have 4 plants and 2 of them the pistils are orange with some hairs white.
The other 2 have white only hairs.
I know I have weeks to go just kinda wondering. It's my first time playing with a mircoscope.

Gotcha!

That makes sense and is inline with what I am seeing.

To get more practice, and that's what is needed - try and take a few more pictures and post them here.

Also, I sometimes snip a sugar leaf off or a small piece of the calyx so it's stationary - to get a clearer image.

Try to take a shot where the trichomes are on the edge - and then focus in on that one area.

It can be difficult to get everything into focus using a microscope - been there done that! :)

BTW, do you have a journal yet? Or are you keeping your own notes?

Nice meeting you - enjoy the weekend!

I just have a hard time telling the difference between clear and cloudy. I just wanted some expert eyes.

Thanks Doc never thought to clip a piece off, then I'll get into some better light.

Spend an hour playing - or until you get frustrated like I did lol :)

The trick is to minimize that light diffraction and get a clear edge shot.

Just keep in mind, that even the slightest movement under magnification will lead to blurriness. Yep, I learned that the hard way too!

Hey @Chris Scorpio - how goes it?
