Did I FIM 'em right?

I FIM'ed my 3 plants for the first time 3 days ago. I left about 10% of the new leaves and I don't know what to expect really. I cut them using my thumb and index fingers.

Can you tell from the before and after pics if I did it right? If not, I'd like to know what I should have done different instead. Thanks for the help as always

Posting pics any other way usually just gets them deleted, but reupload them through this site and all will be well
