Emmie's Organic Deep Cheese, August 2020

Bloom, Day 69

Things are looking very good and will be wrapping up at any time. The plant under the Mars light seems to be finishing out first, with the 3 under the NextLight MEGA running right behind them. After looking at them under the loupe, I am moving the projected harvest day out to at least Sunday.

Deep Cheese got the chop yesterday. We got a total of about 7.5 oz dry from these 4 plants in 3 gallon containers. This will probably be the last time we run 3 gallon containers for a while simply because of that lower than expected yield. Quality looks good and this time we didn't pull early. Upon bud washing it became apparent that some purple coloring has snuck in, especially on the lower portions of the sun leaves. Since we pulled our mother plant of this strain early back in October we never did get to really taste her at her prime, so we are all looking forward to getting this one dried and into the cure. Based on our smoke report, we will decide whether to go another round with just this fast running plant or move on to other strains for the rest of the year. Whichever way we go, we still have one large mother plant ready to go outside when the outdoor temps support it.
