First time grower: when to flush?

hello guys,

First time grower here. I was a little excited to say the least when I germinated 8 auto mazar seeds from DP. I have found this strain to be a good first time grower strain as it has been relatively easy to grow.

I am growing using biobizz soil & nutes.

I am currently on day 75, I know this strain has a slow flowering stage.

Im just unsure as to when to flush? Should I wait until their are amber trichomes or before so by time flush has finished ideally 10% amber trichomes appear.

I also harvested 1 branch early as I had to get in the tent and move things around it accidentally snapped. although, after a 6 day dry ( arou d 58% RH and around 22°C) it has literally no smell or more hay like and no real taste, although the high was OK it wasnt long lasting.

I assume this is because it was harvested early and / or it didn't have a flush or not a proper cure.

Here are some photos.....let me know what you guys think....

Flushing it for toilets only or when you dump wayyyyyyyyyy to much nutrients in 1 feed. Like spilling the bottle in the soil way to much. Flushing is old bro science myth. Do not starve your plants in the phase where they can grow a good 25% in size. " Final bud swell ". The reason it didnt have smell and such, it was not ready to be chopped yet. Also, if it smells like hay etc after you dry, it's because you dried them too fast. The most patient place to be is drying and curing.

Hey jdawggreen. Your plants look great. Very nice looking flowers on those.

I'll let you in on a little secret. You don't need to flush. The science suggests that it is not at all necessary and can in fact actually harm your plants. It is a myth that the nutrients are stored in the flowers and can be tasted and inhaled when consumed. Many growers still flush and there is still a lot of information on how to do it online with people saying that it is one of the most important parts of the grow. I haven't flushed since joining 420mag a couple years ago and there is really no difference in quality. Your plants look better for longer if you don't flush and continue using nutrients

What a wonderful time it is to be a grower. Now we all have the internet at our hands unlike moons ago when it was one book or what your buddy knew at the time. Only problem, is finding the right info online.

Thank you guys for the advice, I love the community within 420magazine....so helpful. I won't flush. I hope they will be ready to harvest soon. If you guys were to take a guess how long to go?

Also if your interested, I have a journal of my grow from start to finish.

Couldn't agree more. The internet is a great tool if you know how to use it. If not then its like negotiating a minefield.
