Flush - What is it?

I am new to growing. I have some plants that may have been over fertilized. I would like to flush them out. I am looking for somewhat of a guideline to assist me in not doing any more damage. Could someone help??

Soil or hydro? With soil you simply "rinse" your soil by putting a lot of straight water in until it comes out the bottom. You'll need plenty of water.

I am using soil. that is exactly what I thought it was. Thanks for the clarification.

I have seen some terms on here that I have had to look up because I am just not familiar with the slang yet. I'll get there. Thanks for the response.

Ya might want to take them outside or into shower stall to flush, flushing is messy this makes it easier to cleanup!>)
