Hey my grow is about 2 weeks or so from harvest and my humidity just won't drop down. I have some fans and I bought the Eva dry 1 pt de humidifier . It doesn't seem to drop my humidity whatsoever . Do any of you guys know how I can fix this I don't want my buds to mold.
a few off the cuff emergency techniques to help reduce humidity.
freshly dried towels - lots of cotton wool, toilet rolls. any sort of absorbant materials will recieve moisture from a room if the rooms humidity is higher than its content.
frozen items in a drip bowl. like a cold can of beer on a hot day, frozen items will massivly increase the RH of the air making contact with it causing water to form, which will drip into the bowl to be removed. please note that the frozen item must be INSIDE a sealed container, metal works best as it has a very fast heat transfer. a block of unsealed ice would just melt and add to the humidity.
increase the temprature...there is a difference between what we call humidity and relative humidity. if there is a fixed volume of water in the air its RH reading will be high in low tempratures and lower in high temprature.
hope these little tricks can help till you get some decent dehumidifying methods =)
What are you using for your grow room? That could be the problem. And if air is getting blowin into your grow room that will continue to pull in moisture.
