Can anyone tell me how many lux my 20 day old plants should get. Mine are about 16,000 and want to max them out without burning em. Im using a "1800W COB LED Grow Light full spectrum from 380-800nm .. Thanx

Using lux, when it comes to plants, is problematic because it is tied to lumen:
Wikipedia said:
It is equal to one lumen per square metre. In photometry, this is used as a measure of the intensity, as perceived by the human eye, of light that hits or passes through a surface. It is analogous to the radiometric unit watt per square metre, but with the power at each wavelength weighted according to the luminosity function, a standardized model of human visual brightness perception.

Your plants don't have human eyeballs, lol. Some of the wavelengths that get the most "weighting" - because they appear brighter to our eyes, when gross amounts are equal - are practically useless to plants.

It's also not really useful to compare two different products (be they two HPS bulbs that are produced by different manufacturers and, therefore, don't have quite the same spectral output... or two different brands - or even models, if their ratios of wavelengths are not exactly the same), since a relatively minor change might cause the second device to give rather different results when both are checked with a lux meter.

For more (and, perhaps, better worded) information on the subject, do a web search for "lumens are for humans" - there was an article published with that title, and it has been reposted several times on different websites/forums.

Aside from that, how many actual watts is your lighting device using? It should appear on its product ad, the box, and the paperwork/manual. There will (probably) also be a sticker or imprint somewhere on the device stating its operating voltage and amperage draw at that voltage, which will give the wattage (it's a simple calculation).

And how many COBs/etc. is it using to produce the light, and what is the physical size of the device? Also, are they all "open," or do they have lenses and, if so, are they 90°, 120°, or...? And if you can post a picture of the device, that would be helpful, too.

I use lux myself but convert it to ppfd

So if my plants get around 20000 lux which is good for early veg in my experience they are getting around 200 ppfd ish don’t have my converter chart . So o see 30000 lux I assume around 300 ppfd.
