I'm not sure what I’m doing wrong

I am not sure what I’m doin wrong I have posted my light specs I have a 1200 watt led that has a bloom/flower switch. Grow area is about 3x3 using 70/30 coco perlite that I didn’t know to rinse before I started. Growing in 2 gal buckets. The pink panther is an auto flower the rest are not auto flower. I had my light about 36 inches away but I did move it up to about 39 today. Giving advanced nutrient using 1.75 micro 1.75 grow and.5 bloom per half gallon on auto flower and then diluting it and watering then. I water every other day and put about 1/2 gallon of water through them. Did have a high ph but I have that in check around 6.3 at the moment

Hey Kpetz,

Welcome to 420! Your ph is too high, you are adjusting the ph as if you are growing in soil. Coco looks like soil but it’s considered a soilless drain to waste hydro grow so hydro rules apply. Coco is totally inert there are zero nutes in there for your girls so you gotta bottle feed. Set ph to 5.8, feed quarter strength nutes every day, no plain water ever, the coco cannot be allowed to dry out. The 1200 is a bogus replacement value number as in it should replace a 1200 watt hps but that’s 248 watts from the wall so thats ok

more peeps will jump in later

I’m not really a real coco grower. But can you clarify how much you’re feeding?
. Giving advanced nutrient using 1.75 micro 1.75 grow and.5 bloom per half gallon on auto flower and then diluting it and watering then.
Couldn’t make this add up. :hmmmm:

Also- anything is possible, but these days you shouldn’t need to worry about flushing out the coco pre-planting.

You're pH was to high, Water 1/4 strength nutes at pH 5.5 for a week and then bump it up to 5.8. Make sure to get good run-off for this week of waterings.

What's the actual draw from the wall for your light?

Coco's pretty easy if you don't overthink it. I've found that The trick is adding beneficial microbes to your feeding routine.
Easiest & cheapest way is top dressing with worm castings and watering them in.
From there you could try out some off the shelf products that are a little spendy buy pretty effective.
I like to mix my media to be 1/3 worm castings and 2/3 coco and then add microbes at least every other feeding. For veg i like using recharge and for bloom mammoth p. Also, doesn't hurt to toss a pinch of mycorazzae (im horrible at spelling) in the hole when transplanting.
I haven't had to check my pH in years because the microbes do it for me!

It makes watering much easier if you start the plants in small containers(clear solo cups inside opaque solo cups are great for monitoring roots). And then transplant in steps up to your final container each time the roots fill out their current one. You'll be fine though in your final pot the whole way. Just remember that once your roots are established runoff is your friend. It seems wasteful but you don't want salt buildup in the coco.

You know I did that my first run and opted for planting in permanent containers because 1 of the 4 is an auto flower.. I think that is where is went wrong in the first place.

So I have watered with pH 5.5 all week my run off still reading 7.0 And the Coco is it self is reading anywhere between 6.5 to 7

They do look better though the auto pink panther is the darker of the bunch

I think 5.5 is low low. And you were high. So you had a major swing. I like to shoot for 5.8-6.2. In coco... Aim for around there. Come check my journal out. I still need to make my nutrition regimen post that I been procrastinating on... maybe you motivated me. Lol

They look much better in the second pictures. I'm on my first grow , I planted rooted clones into 11l pots . But next time I'm definatly going to start in smaller pot and transplant it seems to make sense. 1st couple of weeks on my grow, growth was quite slow maybe this would improve it . And I always ph at 5.8 . Water till run off , test run off if the ph and ec are the same its balanced that's great. If the ec goes to high or low look into improving it. My ph has never really changed in the run off comes out at 5.9. My ec went to high in the run off I just lowered the ec I was feeding and it sorted its self out.
