Is ph that important when sprouting seeds?

Hello all, I am getting ready to order some seeds and want to get everything right the first time. I was wondering how important it is to ph your water when germinating seeds with the paper towel method. I am on a well system and not city water with added chemicals such as chlorine. Thanks all.

Since you are on well water it will be absolutely fine. As a matter of fact when the Taproot starts to show as I understand it they can make use out of some of those minerals (calcium etc) that are naturally in your well water. No need to pH your well water, it will be fine. Now if you start adding synthetic nutrients to soil that will be a different situation.
