North and altitude have a similar climate impact, but north gives long days, too. I'm in Montana @3700 feet and will have almost 17 hours of sunlight today. Temperature is my main concern. I grow very big buds in my greenhouse.

Some nice big buds on those beauties. You are lucky to have a greenhouse you can grow in, I should imagine that would help some towards protecting them from the cold, I only have a small space outside at the back I could fit a couple of plants in but I successfully grew 2 northern storm autos there last year but we had a better summer than this year is shaping up to be.
