Keeping lights very close to plants in veg

Like in title , do you guys think it's a good idea to keep the light close to the plant top iso it's not growing to high , or should I let them stretch ?

Depends on what light strength you are using, typically I’m at 26” during veg.

I’m at 18” during veg. Every light is different though

Yes , that's my question , but on the other hand my grow space won't allow me to have them taller then 60 cm , so I'm wandering if they will stretch during the first flowering stage as much ? Those are fastberry auto from fastbuds

Sorry I have no experience growing autos. But if that's the space you have to work with keep them short.
