I’ve been looking into building my own LEDs. Nothing big at first. I’ve seen the growmau5 YouTube series for noobs and it’s been informative, as well as some online stuff at LED gardener. Anyone have some good resources on learning the hobby?

You are on the right track. Youtube can be a great resource for learning. Also, check out other LED related stuff such as aquarium lighting and other led lighting applications. Their are guys out there with tutorials. Make sure to be well versed in the terminology and the safety precautions.

It will be a fun hobby for you. If your like me personally, understanding the functionality and taking pride in your own DIY projects, why not build it your own.

PLC Photoboost Strips.

8 strips is 330w and about 880 to 900 PPF at 18".
Strips give more even coverage.
