After growing with MH and HPS bulbs I am ready to get in to LED lights. I have 3 panels coming and was wondering do I need to be concerned with ? With with MH and HPS bulbs I would use delay timers, to prevent hot starts. Does anyone use anything special for voltage drop,s or problems out there with LED lighting ..

Re: LED light,s and electrical ?

LED's do not suffer from cold start issues , they start instantly with only a small wattage increase for the first 5 minutes.
My mars (300w) measured on a watt meter consume 190w for the first 5 minutes then settles at 180w for the duration of the light cycle.

Most room circuits are 15A /1800w

My 3 panels consume 5A total , 570w at start up and 540w for the duration.

I think your going to enjoy using them , the panel form is easy to mount as well as cool to the touch.
Some people hang them on angles to direct the light where they want it.

I use mine side by side.
