Juan G. Gaytan-Garfias, 23, was arrested after the package was delivered to his house and drug paraphernalia was found.
The South Central Drug Investigation Unit received a call from the Fed Ex Distribution Center in Owatonna saying a package with improper sender information had been opened according to company policy and it was suspected to contain marijuana.

A drug investigation unit agent verified the package containted approximately 10 pounds of marijuana, according to the complaint.
The package was re-sealed and the agent, dressed in a Fed Ex uniform made a delivery to Osvaldo Boushe, 821 W. Clark St., the person and address listed on the package: according to the complaint.

Another deputy with the drug unit prepared a search warrant application for the resident and anyone in the residence.
Gaytan-Garfias signed for the package and a search warrant was executed at the residence with the assistance of the Freeborn County Sheriff's Office and the Albert Lea Police Department.

During the execution of the search warrant, officers located the box containing the marijuana in a bedroom at the residence. Officers found numerous documents with different names inside the residence, along with drug paraphernalia and a scale, according to a press release issued by the
FCSO.
Gaytan-Garfias was arrested for possession of marijuana.
He is being charged with possession of marijuana in the fifth degree, which carries a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a $10,000 fine.

Gaytan-Garfias will be in court again on Sept. 2.
