So, the trichomes in my mmj grow are getting milky. I would normally harvest regular cannabis at this time but is the harvest time for mmj the same? Should I start to harvest? Thanks.

The same rules apply to both medical and recreational cannabis. Wait for 20-30% amber if you want a couch lock effect, otherwise at 80-90% cloudy.

It depends on what you are trying to treat. A sleep inducing medicine can be beneficial, for example in treating cancer.

With the exception being high CBD strains if you wanting high CBD, as apparently the CBD peaks out a week or two earlier than when one would "normally" harvest a non CBD strain.
