My Very First Grow Journal: BC Big Bud Grown Indoors In Soil

Man I’m really sucking at updating this journal. It’s kind of been all over the place with lots going on. I just pollinated my lollipurps and a few branches on my og kush just to try and get a few seeds. I want to get this journal/grow all finished up, get everything cleaned up and reconfigure my setups and then I want my next journal to be more organized and more consistent. I won’t be starting new plants randomly throughout the Grow’s. I’ll be dedicated to what I start with. But first... we finish this one off. Still have lots of time to go on all the plants. The og kush is starting to bud up nicely, nicely and slowly and I’m impatient lol. The lollipurps are also budding decently. I have them in a separate tent and the male is still in with them. I’ll probably leave it in there for another week or two to ensure those plants are fully pollinated. That should give me plenty of seeds to play around with. I will be taking some pictures today when I do my watering and what not and will post some up here. Going to try to get lots of pics to put up!

I ended up going out fishing trying to get the last few days in before the season is over and by the time I got home the lights were out too long to go in the tent and take pics. But tomorrow I will be taking a bunch!

I quit my job on Tuesday morning. Well I didn’t quit. They want me back after all this is done with, but I needed to protect my family. Been stressing since. The small city I live in are in a state of local emergency. It’s getting worse, and will only get worse if people don’t do there part and just stay home. Alberta had a jump of 61 confirmed cases. Just waiting for the news today saying how much new confirmed cases.

Ya man family is number one. Up in cold lake it’s basically been business as usual for me. Show up to work, do nothing, go home. We only have 4 cases near me last I heard which is really nice. Scary how fast it spreads in a big city though. Stay safe man!

The one guy in the town that I live in that had it was a buddy of my buddy. He just came back from Vegas and had symptoms so he isolated himself in his basement immediately. So I don’t think he spread anything in our town. The other town close to me has 3 cases so I avoid there as much as possible lol.

Alright here’s what we’ve got going on. My big tent is overcrowded because that og kush just bushes out like crazy. Taking up more than half the space in my 4x4 tent. Not complaining that it’s large or anything though lol. And in the other tent I pulled the make out now and you can kind of see the buds have been pollinated on the two remaining females. Honestly just want this run to be done so I can start fresh lol. But still going to nurture them until they’re complete. The root pics are of the cbd plant that I have going in my dwc system. I added hygrozyme to the bucket and it seems to keep them looking nice and clean

I can’t lift out the og kush to show off its roots cause a. The root ball is MASSIVE and b. The plant has grown too close to the light lol

This guy snuck in to my one tent through the lower ducting hole I had left open for ventilation and was eating leaves right off the plants lol. I opened the tent and seen the plants moving and was baffled, until he got spooked and took off running out of the tent hahaha

Been a bit since I updated. Busy with work and doctors appointments and what not. Found out I will need to go for an artificial disc replacement in my c5-c6 vertebrae so I’m in for a tough go here shortly. Plants are looking pretty good and I can’t wait for them to finish so I have a good stock pile of meds for my post surgery recovery. Anyway here’s a few shots of what’s going on in the tents!

Hey man. Ya I’ve been sucking at this lately. Got a lot going on. Dealing with getting a surgery date and just got taken off work now and dealing with kids and covid and man it never ends. A lot has happened though in the garden. I finally upgraded to an @Budget LED light. Went with the series 2 red spec 480 watt QB. I couldn’t be happier with it. I harvested my lollipurps plants and have them drying right now then I’ll have to pluck the seeds out and I wanted to try making some oil with the leftover flower. The other plants are chugging along under the new light and the og kush is getting close to finishing. Within a week or two I’m thinking. Sorry for sucking lately but I appreciate you checking in on me. I’m gonna devote some time every week to get on here and update so I get into a habit of it for when I start my next grow. Anyway here’s some pics

I’m jealous. I’m not even able to do anything physical right now so being home and not being able to do anything is brutal. I injured myself at work last August and have been dealing with wcb to figure out what’s going on with me. Finally got in to see a spinal surgeon and found out I ruptured the disc in my c5-c6 and was told if it goes any further in to my spinal cord it will be life threatening and that I need to take things easy until I can get in for surgery. The surgery is to put a mechanical disc in my spine lol. Should be a fun time

On the bright side though with that mechanical disc in my spine I’m one step closer to being the terminator
