What are Florabella quality potting soils made of?
Frozen through black peatThe main characteristics of frozen through black peat is its high level of organic matter, its soil-like structure and its high water storage capacity. White peatWhite peat has an airy or porous (many pores) structure, thus making it ideal for all plants with sensitive roots. Constituents and additivesThe use of renewable raw materials (such as wood fibre and green compost), mineral nutrients, trace elements or clay creates specialist potting soils. These vary in structure, pH value, nutrient levels and clay content and are precisely designed to the needs of the target plant.

Hey there. I can't really help you out with the dolomite lime part but with the perlite it's always good to have 25% in with the soil. So a 4 to 1 ratio of soil to perlite would be good. You don't need to add any vermiculite to soil as all it does is hold onto moisture, this is more for a hydro type setup like the one I am doing (journal in my sig) Have you used a soil before with such high values of N-P-K before? I would think this would be to hot of a mix. I wouldn't want to start seedlings in this mix.

Wouldn't you normally want your nitrogen levels to be lower than the others for flowering stage though? How much nitrogen are they getting in the veg stage? As the plant progresses thru the flowering stage I have always been told to start lowering the nitrogen levels as the potassium levels with be higher than in veg and the plants will just start using the stored up nitrogen it took in during the veg cycle. Maybe someone else can chime in on this eventually for ya that is more of an organic grower.

The plants need nitrogen for the first 4 weeks of flowering they need it for stretching and more, they grow sow fast the first weeks of flowering.

Yes they do. I recently seen something laid out on another site that after the switch to 12/12 you start lowering the nitrogen as the stretching slows down, then after the stretch they basically get next to no nitrogen as the plant will use up whats left during the rest of flowering.. Just going by something I read, everyone has their own ways of delivering nutrients in certain amounts throughout the plants life.
