This is the pH doc we were just looking at in the Hangout. The idea behind this graph is to show the relationships between major soil minerals/elements and pH. The soil’s ability to retain and/or release those minerals are heavily dependent on the pH of the soil. pH is essentially a measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions (in the most basic description), so if that’s out of balance, then things can go sideways quickly, even though technically your soil is full of all of those minerals.
