And so begins my perpetual journal. Switching things up and dropping down into a crawlspace. I will grow a variety of strains a variety of ways. Right now in there I have 2 super lemon haze, 2 purplewreck, and 2 of ak's finest. They aren't a whole lot to get excited about but with the 600 watt hps I just put in they should fatten up a bit, the first full crops coming up and is mostly gonna be kushberry/skunk and a new strain I've dubbed Lucky Day. 4 of the kb are gonna be fed oc+ and the rest will get botanicare liquid karma/grow and liquid karma/bloom plus superthrive for all of them. The medium will be promix. Gonna be more light eventually but for now I have a 600 watt hps in a cooltube, and a Procyon LED. I also have some homegrown seeds I plan to try soon, so there's gonna be some breeding going on down the line. Well I gotta run for now, I'll get some pics eventually but that's always been hard and will be harder now. Smoke up folks and spread some happy.

11 clones that'll be going into bloom next:
4x lucky day in promix fed botanicare organic karma/veg and then karma/bloom
3x kushberry same as above
2x kb in promix with osmocote+
2x kb in promix hempys with oc+
its easy to tell the oc+ girls as they are darker green and slightly bigger, so far so good there.
I will get a camera and maybe a computer soon so I can start putting up pics again.

Next crop will be super lemon haze and Jack.

Ok so they're gonna see their first 12 hours of darkness starting tomorrow. Even bought new pots. Clones from next crop are ready to be planted, the Jack clones are alot better off than the slh, even thought the Jack mom was struggling.. Oc+ girls looking the best, and the 2 in hempys never wilted or looked at all sad. Love the slh, but it's still tight between it and Jack for my #2 spot- kinda leaning towards Jack, power and production, 2 weeks faster. I guess jacks still the primary breadwinner and I don't see that changing any time soon. Be fun seeing a new strain bloom starting tomorrow.

11 plants added to the bloom room. Let it begin, should be about 9 weeks on both of the strains. Planted clones of Jack and slh, will try and get right on the lst, gonna take the best 7, probably 4 Jack, 3 slh. These will veg for about a month before going in. The Jack/slh clones rooted faster than I've ever had, main difference is I misted them alot less than usual, they got sprayed 3-4x total and only the first couple days. I usually try and mist them daily. Just something to concider.. Ok that's about it, be a boring time around here, a couple weeks before there's much to show, I have a couple of my new strains mom almost done, the last of that strain ever for me, her genes live on, but she will retire, been my best smoke, really great, actually I may try a re-veg but I've never done that and it's so old, maybe it's just time to let her go.

Though I wasn't initially impressed with the kushberry, my opinion has changed a bit- curing has givin it a very pleasant smell, like hops- I open the jar and that's exactly what I smell. It's a mellow stone, couch lock, doesn't take long to settle in. It's a solid yeilder and a big plant. It's a keeper now, glad I kept some clones. Having a hard time keeping my 600 hps lit so the ladies are under my LEDs. I'd keep em like that but need those LEDs so they will have to switch back to hps when I have time to put into solving that problem. Be nice to have a grand to spare for a couple hgl 180s, I think I'd be done screwing with them unreliable hps bastads I mean ballasts.

raisin,
go visit peeps and let them know you have a new grow...i didnt know either...
couple of questions for you...

1. when you cloned your slh, did they droop right away, mine did, just went limp llike a noodle, in clone fluid ect...got them in a clone bucket now, retrimmed the ends ect...but they are still drooped...first time ones ever done that that fast...

2. i splurged and bought an ak seed, fem, what does it stand for, indica or sativa, and how to grow it the best way...you sold me on it, so i hope its the same kind..lol..

now go tell the peeps you're here again...looks like another dynamite grow, you are really doing great...wish you were closer so we do could do some visiting, ect...against the rules here to do hook ups or swaps ect...well, take care and go visiting...the herd seems to have thinned here allot, maybe its summer, but we need all the good growers we can get, and you're one...hugs, L:tokin::cheer::cheer:

Hey there Lavender!
Yeah my slh didn't like the cloning process as much as they could have, they drooped a bit, didn't root as well as the other strains. When I took clones I took slh and Jack and the Jack mom wasn't looking so hot, but 7 days later and the jacks were looking good and starting to show roots, the slh took 2 weeks to show roots, and didn't take to the soil nearly as well. They are ok by now, looking real good after a couple weeks in promix.

My ak is a clone from someone local, it's supposedly very old, from the 80's. This one is called Bobo, though I hesitate to say that. There are alot of stories/rumors about some of the local strains, and I don't want to draw attention to myself, or create any controversy or drama. I love it. Grows small, cam finish as fast as 50 days but really shines after 60- I like 65-68ish. Grows alot better in soil and the yeilds in hydro are definately not worth the loss is flavor/smell. And I know that is typical, but it is much more pronounced with this girl. It's mostly indica but I wouldn't say 100%, although it's obviously sedative and chill it's got a great happy uplifting giggly start that escorts you to the couch subtley. She can turn purple in the cold, which she handles well. She stays small, buds are real dense, the smell is distinct, unique, woody, peachy, musky. High lasts a couple hours. 2nd tastiest weed ever for me, only behind some unbelievable grapefruit I've seen a couple times local.

ok finally some pics-
first 3 of them from away, then I'll drop in 2 of my special lil lady.

These are at 10 or 12 days flower, not sure, but they were under hps, then led for a few days, now under mh, hopefully stay under mh or hps for the duration, I will go with the mh (at least for now) to try and slow the stretch which definately kicked in more than I'd like.

rj,
those are gorgeous...like posters....looking very healthy too...just a quick drive by, more appts today....looking great....L

Too many plants, not enough light, gonna go in and cull some overflow when I crop 4 on Monday. That'll conveniently give me the numbers to drop some beans. I can add 8 after the culls/crop and will finally be growing these seeds! Will either start the Jack/satori or ak/satori (most likely).

That's was one of the most cherished compliments I have ever recieved. Coming from you, and being about this hobby and these plants I love so much, you really made my day, thank you. I am extremely pleased with the plants so far, I don't expect an incredible yeild, I've been using hydro and these are simple promix/botanicare (karma, bloom). I will probably add botanicare "sweet" towards the end. This is a formula for flavor/smell, not yeild, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how good these 2 strains will turn out using simple dirt methods. The oc+ girls still look greener/bigger but their height will be their downfall as they end up on the outside where the shorter girls end up getting spoiled under the best light. But mostly-thank you.

Wow! Just found this J. Seems like you have a nice grow going. Nice strains too. I'll be poking through every now and then to see what's up. Peace :peace:

Its promix hp, botanicare "liquid karma" and "bloom" at a ratio of 1:2 (5/10ml per gallon at the moment), and good clean alaskan water. Simple formula for some really tasty smoke. Will add botanicare "sweet" when the time comes. Happy farming!

hey folks dont miss my other pics up above but heres some veg action:

the bigger clones are jack herer and super lemon haze ready to start flowering near the end of september, and the fresh clone is the alaskan and the mama is as well.

Heres a budshot of my girls mama:
(its an older photo but you get the point..)

lds_mama3.jpg

most likely just a self'd version of herself, but definately healthier, she was getting decrepid, now vibrant, so although I don't know the father for sure, shes 100% alaskan and we will love her just the same..

you cannot imagine my excitement for the end of october!!

dont get much nicer, and those clones look great...lost my slh clones, just ftt..oh well, will get more if she evere decides to grow....those are beauts...great job rj...hugs, L:cheer::cheer:

Sorry to hear about your slh clones, I think that strains not as strong a cloner, certainly not as strong as my others. Those are probably my best looking clones, ever, and I think it maybe technique combined with a new vigorous lady. And I think that since it's mostly indica it helps. I can't wait to try her buds next to some of moms, I have the last 2 of the mother ready to crop anyday and was concidering a reveg and trying to save her but I'm 99% sure now that she's a clone (via seed) of her mother. I will cross her with the best male I find in my ak/satori beans down the road. Hugs right back at ya!!
