Second Grow - 1000W Veg - 4500W Flowering

Hi, everyone. I am not new to the site, but this will be my first grow journal ever. Hoping u guys will come along and give me some advise and help me to solve problems on the way. Before I started my first grow, this site was the main source for me to learn about everything I needed to know. With a friend's advice, my first grow started with batanicare cocogro moisture mix, and H&G coco line ( everything but algen exact, and magic green). It was in my first 4 by 4 grow tent with 600w aircooled hood cooled by a 6inline fan with carbon filter on. here is some pic I took during the first run. ( sry about my English since its not my first language, but I will try to make my points as clear as possible )

first 5 clones picked up, looking healthy ( 3 times crazy, or called platinum bubba kush)

they look a little dropy when they first got here

after potting them into 3g smartpots

2 to 3 days after getting into their new home, they looked really nice and healthy

they got veged 3 weeks and some topping and lst been done, just before 12/12

this is what they look like 50 days after last pic, I believe it is the mid of flowering week 7

the buds are not huge, more like golf ball sized, but every dense

here is 2 OG i throw in there for SOG to make up the unused space
I learned the SOG growing style from grow journal here

the smoke report was really really nice, and I do share these with friends since they always hang out in my place anyway, ( cant keep these away from anyone, since they were always here before I started this, and they all medical users, and very cool with it as long as this is legal)

I completely understand, it took me a few mins to finally figure it out .Simply click on the 'Gallery' tab on the top of the website (second tab from the left, following 'Forums') then on the drop down list click on 'Upload Photos'. Now scroll down and make sure it is being uploaded to 'Member Galleries' and the photo is in a compatible format and doesn't exceed 10mb. You should click on the link KingJohn posted above on a more detailed explanation on how to resize and such using 3rd party software.

After uploading as many as you want, hit the 'Submit' button and it should take you to a processing screen; just continue to follow the on-screen directions and BAMM! All should have uploaded successfully. Now if you want to use these photos in a post, just click the 'My Photos' tab on the bottom left side of the reply window and all your photos should be available for instant 'click and paste' editing into your post !

cuz of the somke test from friends, they talked me into become their caregiver, and provide meds for them instead of going to dispensery at all time. A friend kindly provide his garage for the space to use and I started to get my paper work and new setup for the new place( all the money are shared by friends, and all costs will be shared as well). I knew this would take me lots of time and I am currently very busy at life, but still I find it very interesting to learn how plant grows and it becomes my favorite habit at the time. So, my new setup is 5 by 5 tent with 600w air cooled MH for initial 3 weeks of veg and keeping my mother plant in, during the third to fouth week, I transplant all my little plants from 1g smartpot into 3 gal smartpot as their final home, and add in a 4 by 4 grow tent with 400W aircooled MH to finish the total 5 weeks of veg time. The flowering tent is a 8 by 16 which has 3 4 by 8 flood trays in it, u will see them in pic later. the flowering tent has 6 1000w dimmerble aitcooled HPS lights, which will be used 750w only for now, no CO2 used. 9 plants under each light. because of the long veging time, and so many plants ynder 1 light, I packed them very closely to each other.its already been going for 7 weeks, which is kinda late to start this grow grow journal, but its gonna be a on going grow, so I think it doesnt matter, I will try to detail in as much info as possible

here is how I set up my 5 by 5 tent

here is hwo I set up the 8 by 16
intake, I set up intake at one end of teh tent, between the flood tray and edge of the tent

exchaust, on the other end of the tent

and here is how I set up the lights and cool it

also, I set up a top feeding drain to waste system to save some time for watering every time

some info on what I am running as my nuturients, still going with H&G coco line since I got great result from last grow, but added in algen exact for extra benis and bud candy, kushie kush for flowering. Using top shooter instead of shooting powder since its easier. Using tap water for now, which is really bad here, 200 ppm average, but sometimes goes to 300 max, RO system is on the way now
more info on intake and exhaust, the intake is a 8 inch inline which is 720 cfm, and exhaust is 10 inch inline with carbon filter connect to it (760 cfm I think), the ligth is cooled by a 6 in inline fan( 420 cfm) from outside to outside( not much heat left in the tent, but still the room temp is staying at 78 to 80 degrees with only 3 lights on), got a LG 13000 btu protable ac in but not installed yet. the temp at top of the plants are normally 6 degrees higher, but dont see any stress from heat. whats is the best temp at the top of the plants? I been doing researching on this part, but couldn't find my answer. Also, as u can see from the pic

the last batch of 5 weeks veging plants only took up half of the total space, the free space will be used for the next batch, and once that batch comes in, another batch of veging plants will start veging for 5 week, since I am running 10 weeks plants, this will make perfect timing for rotation

infos on this this gow
the plants are already in flowering, are 9 blue dreams, and 16 OG Kush, planed at the begining defferently( was going 4 plants per light, but changed my mind of 9 under each ligth by using defoliate tech on this grow, dont see plants need leaf to grow bud from last SOG grow), the 16 OG picked up first, and blue dreams are 1 week later wihch only veged for 4 weeks. to make up the empty space for the extra 2 plants, I throw in 4 SOG to flower too

here is a OG I transplanted into 2gal smart pots to compare, same growth, but need to water a lot more frequent, will go for 3gal only next time

I did damage 1 main top from the SOG while moving it around, and lost 2 tops with other OGs while moving them, cry : (

the flood tray under light 1 is higher than the tray under light 2 and 3, thats y the OG under light 1 looks higher than light 3 OG

and here is what I am running current batch of vegging plants, started with 27 OG clones, 8 from dispensary, 19 from my own mother, same strain, but my clones are little smaller due to young mother.had some problem at day 4 or 5 vegging, 1 plant died on me, looks like root rot, no sign of deficiency, but just died. 3 other plants seems recovering but very slowly. other plants got some sign on leaf which I dont know what problem it is

here is the plant still has the sign of problem, anyone know what this is? this problem shows on some of my OG plants some times, and when I was veging my mother plant too, I am guessing PH

of course, here is some of my new cutting for my own 4 by 4 tent, 8 days since they cut

my first clone cut was really bad experience, I didnt know much about what I was doing, and only 4 out of 20 was lived, those 4 are the SOG in flowering
then I ordered a ez cloner, before it arrived, I read more about how to take cuttings, and tried it again, which were the 19 veging plants, 100% rate, which was very nice. and these 8 cuttings are all alive now, I am happy with that I am doing now, so the EZ cloner will be in storage maybe until I want to try hydro some day

Great pics man, and a great setup to go along with those. You are working with a pretty big space in my eyes. I only wish I could have that much space for more plants in my grows! In you ventilation system do you have your fans pushing air over your light hoods to exhaust or pulling the hot air from the carbon filter and the light hood out of the grow tent?

thx for watching : ) guess I am not ready to sleep yet, damn OG always give me energy. No, As you asked, my intake, exhaust and light are 3 different fans running separately. As you can see from the pic

the 8 inch pipe is my intake from outside, pulled by a 8 inch inline fan with 720 cfm to go under the flood tray to the edge of my tent on one side, the separate light intake come in from outside too.

here is where my intake air goes to

then I connect all the lights together, and pulled by a 6 inch inline fan (420cfm) directly to the outside again, no hot air stays in the tent to minium the temp raise in the tent

in this pic, u can also see the carbon filter on other end of the tent from intake, and pulled by a 10 inch inline fan (760cfm) to outside too

can anyone help me with this problem?

it happened when the PH pen wasn't working properly, so i am guessing it has something to do with PH
this is my second grow, still learning as a very noob beginner, but expanded too large to manage, and lots of responsbilities as well, lol, what did I get myself into, so I am trying to watch them very closely and try not to mess up as much as possible, will keep reading on this site to learn more and more about what I need to know about cannabis plants, and wish me luck
btw, I have 1 more question if more experienced grower can help me out, I read OG takes very light nutrient level, so after 5 weeks veg, and 2 weeks of flowering, they get feed at 1050 ppm to 1100 ppm, feed at every watering, 200-250 ppm from tap, is it too low? start raising the ppm by 30 on every water since second week of 12/12, which is every 2 days, and planning on doing that until the fifth week of flowering, and then start lowering the ppm from week 6, then flash from week 9 , and if switching to RO water, what ppm level should they be given?

the leaf damage in your photographs looks like a rapid pH swing. the maximum amount of nutrients that can be used is determined by the root uptake of nutrients and the plants ability to use them, its is strain dependent. 1100 ppm without nutrient burning is good. some people go as low as 900 ppm to as high as 1500 ppm. i would consult your nutrients makers website for a nutrient feeding schedule. what is the exact name of the nutrient products you are using?
