HEDZENMEDZ GROW ROOM - work in progress
Here are some photos of our grow area. It is a work in progress and that is why you’ll notice the shelving is supported by milk cartons. We have been growing at home for the past 2 years and have had a number of different setups. What can I say, I’m a tweaker. This room is 13’ x 8’ with a ceiling height of 6’3”. The room is in the basement and is vented out to an unused chimney. Photos are captioned. In future, I won’t be growing many more autos, so I’ll put a 4x4’ tent for photos.

I think we all like different setups, I'm going hydro next, going to so more modifications, after this grow

Being a part time grower, I utilize the only room in my house that can accommodate my old school MH & HPS lamp set up, as well as contain the plants themselves.

It’s my home recording studio/music room. It’s a standard 12x12 room. I use about an 8x6 area of it.
I’ve been asked before about the possible UV damage to my instruments, yet after 7 years & 7 grows, I have seen no real damage to any of them, except for maybe a bit of yellowing on the finish of the Vintage White Stratocaster hanging on the wall. I take very good care of my guitars.

Most of the year it’s all instruments. 5 months a year it’s like a jungle in here!

I also have used my music room in the past and with no adverse affects to the instruments.

Oh my god. I'm a guitar guy too. How is your humidity? Some beauty boxes you have there. Oh yeah, nice plants too.

Thanks man.
Actually the humidity is pretty low here. The room ranges between 15-40%. And that’s all the time, growing or not. A little higher in winter.
A couple of the oldest ones have a touch of fret sprout but nothing too radical.

Thinking about it, I try to keep my guitars in the 50% range anyway. Which is pretty normal here most of the year. I need to supplement with a humidifier sometimes. Here's a pic of most of them. I have used this room for drying my goodies too.

Wow.. nice LP’s! And ES!
A lefty?

Love your dot.
What’s your acoustic?
Tell me about your maple neck LP
The dot is an ES-339, the acoustic is a Taylor 210 CE.
The Maple neck is actually a Japanese made for the Canadian market. Northern is the name on the headstock. I bought it new in I think 1978. Pots changed, new pickups. 59 neck JB bridge Seymour duncans. Comparable player to higher end guitars but heavy a hell. The maple neck is like butter.

I just love guitar porn. Nice setup.
Thanks, Dave - I don’t grow in this room anymore (not enough space). When I did, it was fine and no issues with humidity. The music room is a steady 50% humidity. Cheers

I'm glad it worked out ok for you two... my first thought was all that heat, water and nutes wouldn't be a good idea near those beautiful instruments

Very nice set up... what kind of yield are you getting?

It vary s but average 5 to 7 oz (washed, dried and Cured some COBed) per plant. I can run 2 plants using
10 gal plastic pots with Individual Rim Mount scrog nets in that space.
Just picked up a 4 X 4 so will at least be able to add 1 more, maybe 2 at basically same energy cost.

Considering the size and lights you are using that is a dam good return :goodjob:

Thanks it really has a lot to do with finding DBHB and letting the Living soil do
all the work. Its so stupid easy I had to find ways to get involved and spend all
my time now on improving the environment (VPD is key). No more PH or EC or Flush or .....

I use this as my OCD Release, as can be seen in my old journal :)
