Soil question

I understand that a 60% top soil and 20% coco and 20% perlite works well. They sell coco/perlite 70/30 mix at HD. If I use 60% top soil and the remaining with the 70/30 mix will that be OK?

Are you thinking of growing 100% organic?
If so I would suggest you either buy ready made or build your own Clackamas Coots soil recipe.
And fill a minimum of 15 gal fabric pots.
Id look for something along the lines of 30% peat moss, 30% AGED compost, 30% aeration in the form of pumice, Rice Hulls and Pre-charged Biochar.
With various amendments in it like Kelp meal, Alfalfa, Karanja cake, Crustacean meal, Basalt, oyster shell flower, worm castings etc.
