Sour OG & Purple Haze Coco Coir 1st Time Grow

So decided to post on a grow journal to share my experiences and to get opinions on how I am doing. This is the 1st time I grew anything so everything is new to me and is part of the excitement. I'm 33 days into my grow and have kept a detailed grow journal in excel sheet. I have made some mistakes and have learned a lot so far. I have much more to learn.

Well 1st I will go into the gear I pick out.

GEAR:

• Tent 3x3 Vivosun.
• AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T6, Quiet 6” Inline Duct Fan with Temperature Humidity Controller
• 6” carbon filter
• Lighting is HLG 260W QB V2 RSPEC LED KIT controlled by digital outlet timer
• Humidifier and Space Heater controlled by Inkbird 1800W Temperature & Humidity Controller ITC-608T Pre Wired Plug Thermostat Humidistat Digital Temp RH Probe 2 Stage Outlet
• Vivosun grow tent fan 6”
• Apera Instruments PC60 Premium 5-in-1 Waterproof pH/EC (Conductivity) /TDS (ppm) /Salinity (PPT) /Temp. Multi-Parameter Pocket Tester Kit, Replaceable Probe
• Professional LED Light Meter, Dr.meter 1332B

What strain is it? I’m growing 2 strains. Purple Haze and Sour OG
Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? PH is a Sativa and the Sour OG is a 50/50 hybrid
Is it in Veg or Flower stage? Veg
If in Veg... For how long? As of today I’m in my 33day of grow from seed.
Indoor or outdoor? Indoor 3x3x6’ tent in my basement
Soil or Hydro? Coco Coir which is considered a hydro medium.
If soil... what is in your mix? 70/30 Coco/Perlite mix
If soil... What size pot? Used 1L air pots starting out and transferred to 5gal fabric pots
Size of light? HLG 260W QB V2 RSPEC LED KIT
Is it aircooled? Yes
Temp of Room/cab? Temp is maintained at 75-77F in temp controller. Room is a steady 62f so space heater and the heat given off by light is used to maintain temp.
RH of Room/cab? Hum is maintained by a humidity controller and humidifier. Hum started out at 70% for the 1st two weeks and dropped down to 60% where it is kept now.
PH of media or res? Target 6.0ph.
Any Pests ? none yet
How often are you watering? 2-3 times per day
Type and strength of ferts used? General Hydroponics

So I decided to use Coco Coir as the grow medium. I learned a lot about Coco on Cannabis Grow Guide - Coco For Cannabis - Science and Practice. For water I’m using RO water from my home system.

So here is my Nutrient schedule/guideline.

Germination:
I used the water in glass method. soaked for 16 hours and then placed on paper towel and 1 gal zip-lock bag.

After 2 days in bag

I then planted seed in the buffered Coco Coir about 1st knuckle deep. Two days later with just mist spaying the top i got these spouts. This is day #1 for my log.

On Day 15 I translated these lady's to fabric 5 Gal pots. The airpots make transplanting a breeze.
I also topped both plants by the end of week 3

Dropped Humidity down to 60%. Topped additional buds.

I have a few more days and week 5 will be done. Will post log and pics shortly, they are getting big. Really need to start watering them 3x a day but do not have the time to do that right now.

I actually had to prop up the sour OG on some wood pcs. If i had to start grow over again i would do only one strain at a time in this size tent. The PH grows much taller and faster than the Sour OG.

If anyone has any questions or comment of why i did something or and critiques, i would like to hear them.

Tease. Day 38 PH SeaOfGreen (determined today that she is indeed a female). At least i believe that is a pistil.

So some week 6 thoughts and observations.
One again for the size tent I had I would only grow one strain at a time. I am struggling to keep the Sour OG high enough that the PH does not tower over it and block the light. I ended up putting the Sour OG on a milk crate to offset the height difference.

The PH is growing crazy. Week 6 is a transition week so i switched over from 18/6 to 12/12 lighting. By end of week nice buds were forming. Only issue i have is the PH is already too large for the 3x3 tent I have. So end of the week I purchased a Vivosun 5x5'x80" tent and an additional HLG 260 LED lighting kit. Which I custom built a linkage to make both light into one fixture. It came out mint and i will go into that further in week 7 if anyone is interested or even reading this journal.
