Task Force Raids Thornton Medical Pot Shop, Owner Arrested

Police raided Street Glass in Thornton Thursday afternoon and arrested its owner Donald William Faltermeier, 49, for investigation of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Police described Street Glass, 8671 N. Washington St., as a medical marijuana dispensary. Dispensaries are illegal in Thornton, police spokesman Matt Barnes said.

Barnes said officers from the North Metro Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Thornton Police Department, confiscated 3.16 pounds of marijuana, edible marijuana products and hash concentrate from the business.

During the search, Barnes said a man identified as Philip Vincent Garcia, 38, made a marijuana delivery to Street Glass. Garcia, who had 5.84 pounds of pot his possession, was arrested for investigation of possession with intent to distribute.

Barnes said the case is part of an on-going investigation they may result in more arrests.
