buyer beware... any commercial soil brought into your grow room from outside needs to be sterilized before use. Run it through a 250° oven for 20 minutes and you will kill any bugs that have tagged along. Easy. Works every time.

Would this kill the microbiology in any of the worm castings or compost added to the soil? As I learnt the importance of proper storage of worm castings this winter when i left mine outside...

yes it would. This is why I don't buy commercial soil with added amendments like this that they claim to have added. I add myco and worm castings myself as well as a super composted soil, and then I know how much is in there and how viable it was.
