first time topping and looks like i messed up .. will my plant still make it

Doesn't look like she is dying. Would need to know lots more before predicting the future, but give her a few days. I think she will be fine.

Question nearby by theme, if i topping same kind of plant top, that little upper stem, can it be used for cloning?

And for OP, i think you tried fimming but not topping, maybe you should just cut that stem by nodes

No.
I won't say it is impossible it could be used, but almost impossible.
A cutting for a clone is best taken from the oldest, lowest, most woody branches. The branch/stem should have multiple nodes. The top node(s) still have leaves. The lower node(s) generate roots.
