VEG/clone room light question

I have a 9x11 room with 4x1000mh for the VEG.
I have my cloning site on a counter in that same room with a T5 florescent system above.
I cycle my VEG room 18/6. Save on afternoon heat and some $$.
When dark I have been wrapping the closing system in a black out curtain.
How essential is that? Is it any big deal to have the T5 on during the lights out period. I know I am shutting off fresh air to the clones.

So, any problem with keeping the clone lights on and exposed during the 6 hours of "dark"

if I mean can you keep yr clones under 24hrs of light then yes it's not a problem

question is about the exposure of the vegging plants to the T5 lights when the metal halides are off.

while plants are in veg it's not a problem if they do not get complete darkness. You only have to worry about complete darkness when flowering
