Weak stem and discoloured roots - Any thoughts?

Hi,

I've started my first grow (with journal) and have a first set of questions.

My plant is 8 days in veg and although the leafs and node spacing seems fine, the stem is very thin and weak and can't stand up without tooth picks.

Also, my roots are heavily discoloured after a first days of been given nutrients. Any sure way to tell if it is root rot or just discolour?

More details and pictures in my journal:

Thanks in advance for any help or feedback.

Should add there's a fan gently blowing above the canopy making a soft breeze.

Water temp is 78F and probably will add some ice bottles to the reservoir.

Just wish for the main stem to thicken.

Any other ideas?

Update:

Both room and reservoir temp is now at 24*C (75*F). Gently felt the roots and it's definitely brown but doesn't feel slimy to me.

Lowered the fan a little bit more to strengthen the stem.

Also I notice this green dust coming up massively on the biggest one's rockwool cube and slightly on the smallest one (which is in front of the bigger one), even though it's roots hasn't reached the water yet.

Any feedback/constructive criticism is highly welcomed.

Cheers
B
