Why do my mobile photos rotate?

Whenever I try to post a portrait photo, it rotates it landscape. How do I rotate the picture so it is right side up.?

Most androids you can pull down from the top of the screen, and click a "portrail" or "auto rotate " button to stop the screen flipping...

Edit totally mis read that.

Edit the photo, and rotate it, click save. Upload it then!

I use an iPhone, they aren't rotated in my phone only when I upload them.

If you were holding the phone sideways, not in portrait mode when taking the pic, it should be the same idea, edit, rotate in editor and save. Or I think you can edit the photo and rotate it by using the media gallery on the forum.
